> 3 dayWe tried several shampoos for cradle cap and this is the one that cleared it up. It also was in my opinion the best smelling. It doesn’t have a lot of fragrance but the others smelled very medicinal or chemically. This is the shampoo I would recommend to anyone looking to help their baby’s scalp.

Greater than one weekMy 2.5 year old developed intense cradle cap over the summer that we tried to remedy with the Frida cradle cap brush. Each time we’d get their head totally clear, these thick brown scales would come back even thicker. We eventually went to the pediatrician and they prescribed us Ketoconazole shampoo and Triamcinolone Acetonide ointment. We only used the shampoo 1x/wk and the ointment 1x/day for 2 weeks and the only result was a bright orange scalp and lots of burning. We also only washed my toddler’s hair 3x/wk with just a water rinse when not using the shampoo. In desperation, I turned to other remedies and found Happy Cappy. We purchased the medicated and regular shampoos and I dedicated 2 weeks to attacking the cradle cap. I started with a good thick layer of the medicated ointment TWICE per day and used the Frida cradle cap brush to lift up the scales twice per day. We alternated using the medicated and regular Happy Cappy DAILY. Once the scales were gone, I cut down on the amount of medicated ointment so that I was only using a thin layer to keep my toddler’s scalp moist. I’d do this first thing in the morning and then immediately after the nighttime shower and run through the hair/scalp with the Frida brush, working out any of the remaining dandruff flakes. Overall, Happy Cappy is milder/effective option that doesn’t burn or dye my child’s head. However, it didn’t solve the cradle cap issue on its own. We tried to just use the shampoo for a few days and the scales continued to thicken until we loosened them and got them up with the ointment and cradle cap brush. Using the ointment is annoying - it’s greasy and impossible to wash out for a few days, but I’m so happy with the improvement. There are no more scaly/discolored patches on my toddler’s head and it looks nice and healed. We’ll continue on with a light layer of ointment and daily Happy Cappy and hopefully phase out to just using the shampoos after another few days/week. Hope this helps any other toddler parents who have been fighting intense cradle cap!

> 3 dayDecent but no real smell and have to rinse lots to get all of it out of hair! It does work good though. I was hoping for a apple scent for my little girl though.

> 3 daySo my 5 month old has chronic dandruff for the past couple of months. It’s not quite cradle cap because it’s not oily - but more like dry scalp. This works well when I do wash his hair, but the dry scald and dandruff are back in full force within a couple of days. I’ve been using this a couple of weeks now about 2-3x/week and haven’t noticed any real improvement.

> 3 dayMy two year old has had cradle cap since she was an infant that resurfaced as dry scalp/dandruff at 20 months. I have tried baby oil, massage, cradle cap comb, and multiple brands of dandruff/dry scalp shampoo. This has been the most effective one! After 3-4 washes (and continued use of the cradle cap comb), there has been major improvement. I would definitely recommend this to any one whose child struggles with flaky/dry skin on their scalp.

> 3 dayI tried Happy Cappy (HC) on my own scalp: Massaged HC into my scalp. Let HC sit for five or 10 minutes before rinsing. Afterward, my hair was nice and clean. The shampoo relieved the itch for several hours. Unfortunately, there was NO EFFECT on the seborrheic plaques. Id like to nuke those plaques! (But that would be rough on the noggin.) Instead, I bring hell to Mr. Itch by alternating between coal tar shampoo and tea tree shampoo. These armaments stave off the itch for longer than the HC did. Ive also used a Ketoconazole (KCZ) shampoo, which is antifungal. Sometimes KCZ helps. MY RECOMMENDATIONS... = = = = = = = = = = = = + Coal Tar shampoo:

Greater than one weekIve had cradle cap on my face since high school. The intensity comes and goes with the seasons but there always remains a red, flaky patch between my eyebrows. I usually ignore it since its always been there, but this year it spread across my whole forehead and into my hairline. The worst its been in over a decade. Rather than go to the derm for a Rx wash, I figured Id try this. Literally one wash last night and its all gone. I even have makeup on which clings to the flakes and there is nothing. Ive tried all forms of exfoliation to get that eyebrow patch gone over the years, and nothing worked. One wash and ALL of it is gone. Definitely recommend trying it.

> 3 dayMy son had bad cradle cap as a baby and we finally got rid of it as a toddler (using head and shoulders, which gave him irritated skin elsewhere on his face/neck). Well, his current kids shampoo caused it to build back up again at 7 years old. I bought this because I didn’t want his skin to get irritated but he still needed the flakes/scalp build up gone. IT WORKS! I never write reviews on here but this one was worth it. Took maybe 2-3 weeks total, with every other day washing but it’s all cleared up. Will continue to use this from now on.
