> 3 dayOk...you are supposed to Braze using an N2 purge to prevent the contaminants inside the lines. No longer a problem. This melts at a much lower point yet yields a stronger connection without the annealing of the copper lines so they dont get soft. Watch a few vids before attempting. Try out on a few joints before tackling your ac lines. Not exactly the same as sweating with standard solder but close. Worked like a champ and my Heat Pump is working great. no N2 required. No oxy/acetylene. Just Mapp gas required

> 3 daySuper expensive but works great. The unusual melting point really helps to seal big gaps. Rated to 10k psi so it will last forever on hvac lines set sweating. To seal big gaps just heat the coupling above melting point and apply the solder. Once you think enough of the joint has solder then remove the heat and keep pushing more solder in. Soon it will thicken and fill the gaps.

22-04-2025Works great. Easier than brazing and super strong. Used to fix a spot on my condesor where aluminum met copper. Patched the copper without melting the aluminum. So happy how easy it was to work with
