I use this to rest my hot curling iron while using it, and to store the curling iron (after it cools down) before putting it away. Very convenient. I only use the lowest heat setting 285F and never let it in direct contact with the hot iron so can’t comment on its heat resistance but it works well for me.

I love this “cool it” pad. It doesn’t require much space and can be easily stored between uses. Your hot styling appliance rests on the mat between tasks. There is a small dial with temperature control. Heats quickly and cools down within a minute. You can even select from 3 colors. The mat is flexible and has a back pocket for storage. Cleans easily. This is about 2x the size I expected. It will fit a full size curling iron, etc. So its not exactly what I wanted (I wanted a smaller for my TRAVEL flat iron) and will take up more space in my luggage than planned, but it will have to do so for the questions asked about its features, it is a good product.

Great to put a hot iron inside for storage along with protecting the counter top when using the iron.

Wife loves it no more burning the countertops lol…
