Description of item not accurate. Support brackets are aligned properly. They are really difficult to install on white vinyl fence double gates.

Very strong holds gates tight in very high winds

It was perfect for what we needed! We were unable to find any this size locally.

Locking rod length is only 22 in locked position. If the bottom rail is installed higher than that it will not lock the gate in place. Box description does not state length. Installation instructions are skimpy and do not include length limitation.

It arrived on time... went on in minutes... worked perfectly! Amazon had the best price for this item. I purchased this product after buying the adjust-a-gate in person at a builders warehouse (and realized I needed this for a double gate).

Worried it wouldnt work in the sandy area I tried to use these, I used metal stands meant for holding solar garden lights that were just large enough to use as guide placeholders for the rod in the down position and it works kind of great so far. Item is good and would suggest it if you want a sturdy ground point of pinning your gate closed or to inertia keep it open if not sink it to the ground to provide the same.
