HelloBaby Extra Camera, Baby Unit Add-on Camera for HB65, NOT Compatible with HB6550, HB66, HB50 and HB32

This was ok, but it kept losing connection. Ill assume it was the one we got. We ended up returning it because of this.

We got these to replace our 6 year old Motorola set. Got 3 cameras with the monitor. They function all the same, however the camera quality and display quality is garbage in comparison. It’s barely 720p on the 3” display, which means grainy and blurry. Compared to the $250 1080p Motorola 5” display set. The Motorola is rated as a worse camera, but surprisingly is better than the hello baby. We still haven’t switched over completely. The hello baby set is alright. For the price is is good. You can see the baby. You can talk and listen and do all the things you’d want for your monitor. It’s small and easy to carry around. It switches from camera to camera on a rotating time period. Solid product for functionality, but in a world of 4K and 8k technology a 720p screen is unacceptable and embarrassing. It’s like looking a those big back CRT TVs from the 80s and 90s in comparison. Call me spoiled, but when you’re used to looking at an iPhone screen and then look at the hello baby monitor, it’s just depressing and frustrating.

I bought this camera 11 months ago as a second one to go with our monitor. Last week, it disconnected. Since then, the camera has disconnected from the monitor every time we turn the monitor off. Today, it stopped pairing altogether. Well see if customer service can help with this. Otherwise, we have LOVED the HelloBaby monitor. UPDATE: I emailed customer service. They asked me to take a video of the issue, which was obnoxious, but I did. I emailed the video to them and, after ten days, and received no other response. I know they got the video because I shared a Google Drive link and for some reason they requested editing access, as opposed to using the view-only access I provided.

The night vision and quality of video is great. The sound is perfect. I love that you can speak thru the monitor to the camera. Only downfall so far- if you get a second camera- when you switch them on the monitor you have to change to add a new camera- go in, unplug the one you want, plug it back in quickly then hit the pair button. Kind of annoying especially with the static from the monitor too close to the camera

So because I read the Q&A’s ahead of time, adding a second camera and turning off auto switch was no big deal. BUT!. Sometimes even well within the distance range the camera/mother unit will cut in and out. Also I wish there was an alternative mount. Like a clamp style mount. I live in an apartment and can not mount to the wall and I don’t want to damage the crib.

We hve one in each of our kids rooms the picture with the light on is clear and night vision is pretty clear as well! I was so happy to find an affordable yet good quality option for a video monitor. As long as you don’t place your cellphone too close to the monitor it has no interference issues. I love seeing the temperature and being able to turn off the screen on at night but still hear if they cry. Very good affordable quality and will not be going back to vtech or summer infant they both had splotchy pictures that freezes or broke up too much.

This product is great for the cost. The only thing I found difficult was finding a location in the bedrooms for a mirror that would allow for a good picture in the entire room. Hanging it up on the wall mix using the parent controls a little difficult.

Love it! I even ordered an add on camera when the kids went to separate rooms. I love that it scans between both rooms all night!

We love this camera. We have had it almost 4 years and it’s been great! We have added a second camera to keep an eye on both kids. The quality is great for the price!

We ordered this to be our travel baby camera, since we already have a duplicate mounted in our nursery. It has been perfect for traveling and being able to watch over our child. The parent monitor allows you to program more than one camera and toggle back and forth between them. Make sure you already have the parent monitor, as this is only an additional camera.
