As grandparents we use the portable playpen as a bed for a toddlers overnight visits. We use two mattresses and it helps to add a bit more comfort. We realize playpens are not designed to be used as beds, but we cannot afford a bed right now. This is a fairly good substitute.

After using our pack and play for 11 months; the mattress was warping and not comfortable for our baby. I love hiccapop. We use the Omniboost everytime we go out and people are constantly asking where we got it and writing the brand name down. So I was thrilled to find out that hiccapop made a mattress. They have a soft and firm side and it fits perfectly in the Graco pack and play. Our baby slept so much more comfortably, like she was back in her own crib. Hiccapop, you rock as a company!

To preface, I have a Graco Quick Connect Pack n Play with Portable napper. The sleep space measures 35 in x 26 in. I am comparing this mattress with a Dream ON Me 3 in foam mattress. I was nervous to purchase because both measures 38 in long. I read quite a few reviews that this would not fit our pack n play, being too big. I needed something anyway for travel and decided to purchase this first. My plan was to remove the cover and cut some of the foam off. Shipping delays occurred and I ended up buying the Dream on Me. However, they both arrived in time. When I got them and tried them out, I was able to push them down in tightly and get a decent fit. With them being memory foam, theres quite a bit of wiggle room. I went along the edges and pushed it down until it was even. It has a nice tight fit and there is no buckling or uneven areas. This Hiccapop mattress itself is really nice. The foam is covered by a very thin protector and then there is a really soft removable cover. I planned on using a sheet, but the cover is so soft Im not sure I will need it. In comparison, they both fit my pack n play- its a tight fit, but it worked once I squished the edges down. The Dream on Me isnt as comfortable on the outside, as it is covered with a thick plastic-feel cover, but that could be remedied with a mattress pad. A Con to this Hiccapop and Pro to the Dream on Me is the firmness. The hiccapop has a soft and firm side. Soft side says 9 mo plus, but IMO, it is way too soft for a 9 mo old. I am not comfortable with my belly sleeping 10 mo old sleeping on it. Maybe if he slept on his back. The firm side is actually pretty soft and squishy too. My son is 21 lbs, he does sink in a little still on the firm side, but its not enough that Im uncomfortable letting him sleep. A smaller baby likely wouldnt weigh as much as mine and likely wouldnt compress as much. The dream on me 3 in foam mattress is much more firm like a traditional crib mattress and I think it would be better suited for a smaller baby who really needs that super firm support. Overall, I think they are both really nice. I actually am having a difficult time deciding which to keep. I like the soft feel of the hiccapop and am a fan of the brand in general. But the firmness of the Dream on Me is likely better for safe sleep. I plan on testing with some naps and see how he does a with each. Update- We decided to keep the Hiccapop and use it. Our trial naps went well on it and even being 21lbs, he didnt sink in as much as I originally thought he did. We used the firm side. Our baby slept very well in this for 5 nights. We used the firm side, but probably wouldve been ok with the soft side. It held up very nicely. A regular pack n play sheet did not fit on it however. But the cover that comes with it is very soft and nice so it worked fine.

Over all Im very happy I bought this for my 4 month old , if he could speak Im sure hed say its very comfortable & his sleep quality is a lot better now that he sleeps on this mattress. I love that there is a baby firm side and a toddler soft side perfect comfort for now and later. It fits perfectly in a baby trend pack and play I have a waterproof and regular pack and play bed sheet on it and it still fit perfectly. I love that I can travel with it and love that they provide a bag for it (: the only thing and its not a big deal but any time I change the cover or pick it up to dust it off I have to fidget with it a little to get the two sides down so the middle part is up right that theres no dip in it honestly not a big deal because it levels out nicely and safely. I also appreciate that there was no bad smell right out of the package. Id recommend it! Especially to the moms that have babies that want to sleep in the bed we all know thats not safe so this really helps make your baby feel as if theyre in your bed . Also DEFINITELY perfect for Traveling!

I usually dont take the time to write a review but three things stick out to me that you probably care about as well: 1-this is a high-quality product for the price. The bonus travel bag itself is pretty thin but should go the distance if you make some effort to take care of it. The mattress(es) and the cover are very good. I say mattress(es) because to make this thing foldable to travel with it is 3 mattress sections that zipper inside the mattress cover independently, but when unfolded come together tightly. The cover is easy to take off and put back on, we washed it before first use. 2-My kid slept through the night on it. We have one of those Graco pack and plays and the board it comes with has a very thin mattress. Around 19 months on a weekend vacation, my kid decided he had enough of it and we barely slept all weekend. This is what got me researching an additional mattress. This hiccapop mattress is all of the 1.5 inches thickness as advertised. 3-The customer service seems great. Without having any issues with the purchase I was already contacted to make sure everything was going well. Within the packaging, they make it abundantly clear they want the customer/consumer to be happy. And I like that. Make sure you check the dimensions on the sheets you have/get for this mattress. If the sheets are too tight it will cause the mattress to bunch up on the sides/middle. Check the dimensions of your pack and play so there is not a big gap around the edges. I hope this helps you not waste your money on the other junk out there that they throw the word baby in front of that falls apart in a couple months.

Its comfortable easy to clean and mg grandson enjoy playing and napping.

I am the grandmother and I have an approximately 30 year old Graeco Pack N Play. My grandson who was 14 months old was coming to stay with us and I was trying to decide whether to buy a collapsible full size crib or make this more comfortable. I decided on the Hiccapop. Two things about the mattress were a very pleasant surprise. There was absolutely no plastic odor right out of the package. We try to be as organic as possible though this is not claiming to be an organic mattress. The second thing was how much more comfortable the pack and play was with this insert thus my grandson slept incredibly well. Shocking difference! Recently, we went on a family vacation and my daughter brought her Noona pack and play and called me when I was already in the airport asking me did I bring the Hiccapop mattress and I said I did not. I could tell she was upset so I immediately ordered another one to be delivered to our vacation rental in FL. It arrived the next day and again the baby, now 18 mos. slept like a charm. The companys service was extraordinary and we have nothing bad to say about it. I did not give stars for water resistance because I really dont know but my daughter has never complained. As for traveling it is very light weight and has a travel bag. It might be good for a newborn that doesnt move around much without a structured bed to hold it or maybe tummy time. We never used it that way. It is also unique in that it has the firm side for a newborn and a softer side for the older baby. The Pack N Plays are just extremely firm.

My daughter just turned 6 months old and is still sleeping in our room in the pack n play. She’s been up every night for a few weeks (slamming her legs down, this making a massive noice on the cardboard thing they’re supposed to “sleep” on). My husband is actually the one that mentioned that maybe she’s waking up because the pack n play is uncomfortable. After reading the reviews on this mattress, I ordered it right away. It came super fast and was packaged perfectly. After you cut the plastic ans allow the mattress to expand, it turns to its full shape after about two hours. My daughter used it for the first time last night and slept SO well! She did smack her legs down on it (once) in the beginning (it was much quieter now) but quickly fell asleep! Thank you for making such a quality product!! And the fact that you can not only travel easily with it (it trifolds and comes with a carrying bag), but it also has a lifetime warranty and has a soft and firm side! I wish I could give this more than 5 stars!!!!!

I got this mattress today so my 20 months old has yet to sleep in it. I can’t speak on comfort or sleep quality yet until we try it for at least a week. The quality looks and feels great. The thickness of the mattress is perfect for a pack and play. As you can see on the picture, the corners are not fully flat but is doable for us. Our pack and play is not fully square which makes it difficult to flatten out the edges. This pack and play comes with a hard thin mattress which is very uncomfortable for babies to sleep in for longer than an hour. For this reason, I decided to buy a cozy/comfy/plush style mattress. After weeks of research, this brand seemed to be the best of all we found. SHEETS: I used a “cloud island” brand bed sheet for a normal size crib. However, it was big for this mattress. I ended up using the “cloud island” pack and play fitted sheets and worked just fine. About my pack and play: I couldn’t find the model code on the actual pack and play but mine comes with the changing station and bassinet. It came with a “moon & star” theme arch mobile in black and beige. Not sure if it has been discontinued from the market ( mine it’s 2 years old). However, i have seen similar currently on the market. Sharing this information will give you an idea ( in case you own the same or similar) on what expect if you decide to purchase this mattress. The mattress that comes with this pack and play measures 37x25.

My daughter is 2 year old now but we have this almost 1 years now because we can’t afford buy big cribs so we decided buy pack-pack and mattress so she can sleep comfortable and love it so much!! Good space and very soft. But it not good idea for newborn if you not feeling comfortable. It will be great when baby is 9month though 2 years old ☺️. This old picture when she is one year old and love sleep with baby doll haha. Of course I take off doll from her face while she sleep . Don’t worry!☺️
