We used these inflatable car seats for a vacation when we traveled by plane and used a taxi service instead of renting a car. They are GREAT, and Ive already recommended them to two friends. My kids (ages 5 and 7) are too large to need 5-point harness seats, but still need boosters for safety. The Hiccapop seats showed up in an internet on how to fly with booster seats, and I am so glad they did. The metal hooks for holding onto the seatbelt on both sides, along with the shoulder belt adjuster, stayed right in place in the cars we took, and the kids found them really comfortable. I am highly impressed with how small they can roll up, and how quickly and easily they inflate. 4 breaths, and we were done. Even the drivers commented on how convenient they were, one of them remarking where were those when my kids were little? They arrive with a puncture fix kit and registration card with a friendly message reminding you to register the product. I do recommend rolling them with the gripping area to the inside, as it helps them slide in and out of their carrying bags more easily.

This is great for on the go from one car to another or when you have to travel to another state and you dont want to luge a heavy car seat through the airport or take a chance or them damaged the car seat especially if your not using the car seat on the plane and you have to check the seat in. This is a great way to not have to worried about any of that it comes in its own carry pouch so when not in use it can be store in it you can pack it in your carry on or tie it to the kids bags with out any issues as I did with my grandson. No issues with TSA no issues on the plane once of the plane and head out of airport while we were waiting for our ride I aired it up and ready to go into the car.

My kid is big enough to need only a booster seat when we are in the car. Last time we traveled, I tried that fold-up flat car seat and it was a headache. I hadnt done a dry run before we got where we were going, and it took me nearly half an hour to find a setting that was safe for my kiddo. I HATED the strap that dangles upward from the back to try to hold the shoulder belt in the proper place (because the seat was flat rather than raised, the way it works is to hold the shoulder belt lower, which is NOT something reflected in the photos). Anyway, I left it in the rental car and told the guy he could have it or throw it away because it was garbage. This trip, I was dreading taking our full-sized booster and thought about getting the OTHER inflatable booster, which is the one that comes up first if you do a search. But the stuff I read about it didnt please me, and it seemed to have the back strap, too. That just seems like a death trap to me, if you have a kid who moves around, bends over, falls asleep in the car, etc. I also looked at the folding one but read that people said it had slid into the floor, out from under their kid. So, I decided just to try this, to buy it and inflate it and if I hated it, wed just take the every day booster... which I did not want to do. THIS WAS GREAT. It comes in a drawstring weather-somewhat-resistant bag, and is deflated and rolled up inside. The valve is just one piece that you have to adjust before you blow it up, but then its a one-way valve that works great. It has a textured nubby bottom to prevent sliding across the seat. It was easy to put in place, and the side hooks really hold the seat belt in place. The result of this is that my kid needed help getting out, whereas he can exit his normal booster alone. But, frankly, Id rather it hold tight and have to assist than to have it move around or eject my kid when its needed most. I did a top-off supplemental blow midway through our five-day trip, but that was because it was very cold. The seat held its air and stayed inflated well. It didnt move when my kid was in it, and my kid is not a statue traveler. The only reason I gave this 4 stars for comfort instead of 5 is that we did miss his cup-holder, but I did not miss lugging that seat through the airports and all of the associated transportation between car, plane, and destination. Do recommend!

This thing is the coolest invention ever. I bought one because we are flying and part of our group is driving all our luggage and my daughter’s car seat will be with them. It truly is easy it inflate I promise!

I bought this for travel with 4 yrs old boy, and it works well. Easy to use and easy to deflate. With this, I can take uber easily in Chicago since I dont need to find special cars preparing carseat. Also, this is not heavy so it was easy to bring it when I was walking around Chicago. It was good choice to buy this!

I purchased this for my 5 year old to use when we travel. He is around 39 and 45-50 lbs. It is incredibly easy to use in any rideshare vehicle. The seatbelt adjuster clip can be moved so the seat can be installed on either side of a vehicle. The inflation valve is large so the seat inflates in about 3 or 4 breaths. I never get winded blowing it up. The air does not escape between the last breath and closing the valve the way it does when blowing up a raft, which is nice. When were finished with it, it deflates in seconds and is easily rolled up back into the bag, which is about the size of laptop. I find it to be extremely easy to transport when we are on the go. It is lightweight yet very sturdy. It is so travel-friendly that I sometimes bring it along to concerts or shows where my son needs to be higher in his seat. The covering is a quality fabric with a non-skid rubbery bottom. We have used this booster many, many times for over a year and the fabric still looks new. I will say that in the last 2 months I did notice the booster losing air. It comes with a LIFETIME GUARANTEE and boy do they stand by it! I contacted the company regarding the issue and they responded within a few hours. The customer service was amazing. A new booster was shipped out the same day. So simple. Even if the booster only ends up lasting another year, with all the use I get out of it I would still consider it money well spent. I am a very happy customer.

My daughter uses this seat for travel and when she outgrew her car seat. Its great and a bit larger than bubblebum (we have both) while rolling up a bit smaller as fully deflates. It got a small leak 2.5 years later and hiccapop immediately responded and sent me a new one -no hassle. 5 stars!

I dont understand why I dont already have some of these. The concept is so simple but these are brilliant. This one has nice design features, including the strap to adjust where the seatbelt goes. The grippy bottom is nice too. Get a couple of these and enjoy.

I use this for my son when we are traveling and taking uber/ Lyft somewhere. I bought a tiny rechargeable electric inflator on Amazon that works perfectly with this so I didn’t need to use my mouth to inflate it. If you don’t want to get the separate inflator, the part that you inflate is completely covered my the seat cover so you don’t have to worry about it touching the surface of the car seats. The most inconvenient part of this is trying to attach the seat anchors while getting in a rideshare-especially when we were being picked up in a busy area. I don’t think this would be comfortable for a long drive, or as a permanent car seat but it works perfectly for when we’re traveling and going short distances.

Bought this for a trip where we had to fly out and back, so that we wont have to bring a bulky booster seat. I was skeptical about this item because of the inflatable feature and thinking how am I supposedto have the lung power to do this lol. But since it has great reviews i decided to take a chance. Happy to say that it was super easy! Its not the same as a traditional floatie inflation. It has a flap that prevents the air from coming out and having you try and blow air into it again and again. It only took me probably like 4-6 breaths in? My daughter loved it we had it in the rental car the entirety of our trip and did not deflate. I didnt have to add air into it. When we returned our rental all I did was deflate it right there and folded it and stuck in into my backpack. I highly recommend this item for ease and convenience when going on a trip.
