Honda 17211-Z8B-901 Air Filter

Great filter, lasts all mowing season, I check it about every month and a half to make sure the dust is out. I just hit it along side the yard waste can to take the accumulated dirt off and slap it back in. Take a rag to the inside casing making sure thats clean before I do that. I know some people just do that year after year, keep the same one and clean it occasionally. That can work too if you have a very little lawn and dust to contend with.

Avoid cheap aftermarket and stick to Honda parts. By way, so many sellers had specific serial numbers for different filters. All I can say is the fits both my HRX----VYA and HRX---HYA mowers no problem. If your filter number end with an R, dont worry this will fit.

Appears to be EXACTLY like the original filter that came with the mower when new. I have a Troy-bilt lawn mower with a honda engine. I mistakenly tipped the mover to the air filter side when I removed the blade for sharpening and balance. This soaked the filter with fuel and oil. Ooops... my bad, so, my fix also. I will buy this again. I have learned before at different times in my life, to use the original equipment when you can and you really cant go wrong. Peace of mind, and less break downs in the long run. I thought the price I paid here on amazon was very reasonable for this filter. I believe this to be a original equipment Honda filter. I bought a briggs & stratton filter from Walmart (because they were out of Honda) and it appears to be the same size filter. I gave it to a friend who has a mower with a briggs and stratton engine. I did purchase a STP brand filter for Honda from Autozone, it has a wire mesh on one side (not a plastic spine like Honda filter) but it cost me $12.99. Ill stick with original equipment when I can get it.
