This a beautiful parasol. I use it to shade off the sun. It is dainty with silk and lace, but large enough to shade the sun from all sides. This only to be used as a parasol in the sun, not for rain. It is not waterproof

Love this parisol. Im photosensitive, so I use this when Im going to be exposed to the sun for long periods of time. I get so many compliments on it!!

5 stars for the umbrella itself. Gorgeous! All the umbrella in this lace line are truly stunning. I have both the light pink as well as the black (the black I ordered from a different seller here on Amazon). They are even more gorgeous in person than any of the photos I had seen online before ordering. They are surprisingly strong and durable but DO take your time to slowly and carefully figure out how to open and close them correctly the first few times you use them. Why? Because they have a VERY unique inside-out type of folding system to them. Easy to use, but just take your time and care to get use to it in the beginning. They fold down ultra compact and come with a beautiful matching lace case. I LOVE these umbrellas and highly recommend them. I think the price point is a bit high here, you could probably find cheaper elsewhere. Well, they say a picture says a thousand words... so I wanted to share with you just how lovely these umbrellas are (as you can see in the 3 attached photos). Its stylish and works really well. I use it all summer and it does pretty well with the amount of wind we get up here. I like how it folds small enough to fit in my purse or carry-on when I travel as well. Its durable, beautiful, and I love it!

Love this product because it really is good. I dont feel the heat coming from the sun at all. The shade is cooling and better than the hat.

This parasol is lovely. I ordered the grey parasol but its really a champagne color with a grey lace overlay. The photos eluded to this and I couldnt be happier. The underbelly is black and while I would have preferred it white, it will do the job of keeping the dreaded UV rays off me. It feels romantic and feminine. Our first outing shall be a local winery. PLEASE NOTE: The parasol will not fit into the sleeve it comes with unless the ribs are bent upward into the position as how it shipped. See other reviews for further clarity. It may take all of 30 seconds for you to snap the ribs into or out of place.

This umbrella is very difficult to fold down and insert ends into the receptacle.

Visited Charleston with my grand-mother and she used it while walking around town to keep cool. She said it was surprising effective, more so than just a regular umbrella, and it looked much more stylish. She received lots of compliments.
