The handle screws into the umbrella pole. Very poor quality plastic handle, the inside broke on the first use and the handle just falls off now. Junk. Don’t waste your money.

I had my good friend Serynne test this product out as it fits her style. Summer is almost here, and I am an outdoorsy goth! As much as I look forward to the sun and heat, my skin screams creature of the night. Searching the internet for ways to protect my creamy white skin from the sun, I was inspired by the porcelain women of the Victorian era and just had to get myself a parasol! This GORGEOUS, foldable parasol is more than I could have ever asked for. The black inner layer stays cool with the top gold/bronze reflecting the suns rays! I LOVE the layer of black lace with hints of sparkle for the magical visual appeal of class and charm. The foldable feature with a slip pouch makes it as easy to store in your purse as a small umbrella, or you can leave the lower half clicked down in place and its longer and thinner to store in narrow places. I may as well get one in every color for every occasion! ITS A FAIR GIRLS MUST HAVE OF THE YEAR! I was provided a sample for an honest review

Works really well but it doesnt compact well. You have to unlatch each spine so it can bent outwards to store and then latch them back to have it open the right way. So you have to leave it open. And the extension to wrap aorund the umbrella to keep it closed in on the inside so can only be used when compacted. This doesnt make sense to me.

Very lovely but its hard to open and close -- before open or close umbrella, each rib has to be straightened or folded. Also some of the threads are too loose and I am rather small in size but it doesnt cover much, only head. I wanted one that covers good portion of my body.

The parasol is quite cute, but the design is awful. The frame looks weak and seems like it would break after a few uses. Its really hard to open and even harder to close. You have to fold each rib one by one by hand. Had to send it back.

I like the look of the umbrella overall and the vibe it gives out. However, this is not an umbrella you want to use every time it rains or to for sun protection. Not lying but the thing broke the SECOND time we opened it! Please fix the mechanics of this product for a better review. For now its UNDER ONE STAR for me!

This a beautiful parasol. I use it to shade off the sun. It is dainty with silk and lace, but large enough to shade the sun from all sides. This only to be used as a parasol in the sun, not for rain. It is not waterproof

Looks just like the picture! I find the double jointed folding a little tricky, but may just take getting used to.

Love this parisol. Im photosensitive, so I use this when Im going to be exposed to the sun for long periods of time. I get so many compliments on it!!
