Greater than one weekThis remote has poor range and the buttoms are hard to use. You have to press them exactly right or they dont work. The fan was quiet at first but after about 4 months it started to get noisy.

Greater than one weekI wanted a fan that could circulate air in my office while Im on meetings, without creating a bunch of background white noise. I tried an Optimus table fan, which was too loud to cancel out. I tried another tower fan, a Lasko 42 tower fan, which is equally loud on its lowest setting (but also moves a lot of air). THis one is phenomenally quiet. It is barely audible even in an extremely quiet, sound-isolated library/office room. On its lowest mode it is sufficient to feel a breeze clear across the room, 15 feet away. I wish it was a bit more aesthetically appealing - wood-grain fascia like the Lasko fan, or different color options / combinations that could be more interesting, more pleasing to look at, amid different decors. The remote control is also a very odd thing. Its shaped like a little box, not hand-shaped like any normal remote control, longer and slender. That having been said, it works well. Theres a small rattle noise that comes from the motor - whatever worm gear oscillates the fan back and forth. It seems this should be designed not to make extra noise, and maybe to be greased with some durable grease - white lithium or the like. This would render the entire device effectively inaudible, in all but the quietest environments and to those with the most acute of hearing. All that having been said, it is so quiet and works so well that I felt compelled to write a review. Its just a fan - but it does as it reads on the label. It is very quiet.

> 3 dayFirst of all, let me say what a nice-looking fan this is. I spent too much time picking the decor for my little abode to want to have an ugly fan sitting around! Of course, right now, I have it sitting in the doorway of my bedroom (classy, I know!) because Im seeing how well it cools the room down. As for the rest of the positives: This fan is SOOOO quiet that, at first, I doubted that it would be very cooling. I was wrong. Once I got this assembled (very easy, btw) & figured out the controls (not too hard), I turned my AC off! LOL Being from Alaska, this Iowa heat and humidity is taking some getting used to. Also, Im not very familiar with AC and the costs (except for a horrendous bill in Arizona several years back). My apartment is a nice-sized 1 bedroom, 1 bath, kitchen and living room. There is a ceiling fan in bedroom, but at night, it still can get warm. Since this fan is doing so great at cooling the whole front of the apartment, I plan to put it in doorway of bedroom during the nights. With my AC off right now, I am totally comfortable. Its only 75 degrees out this morning, so I will see how well this helps when the temps rise (the other day, it was around 90). Even if I have to use this in conjunction with AC, I will be able to power the AC down a bit to help with the bill. By the way, having a remote will be super nice - when I get the AAA batteries that were not included. A plus is that the remote stores so neatly in the back of the fan. NOTE: For assembly, its easier it you follow the pictures/directions on the box flap rather than using the booklet. The booklet makes it seem more complicated than it really is.

> 3 day*TL:DR* Im dinging this review low despite the product being so amazing, because amazons Used Products policy is terrible. Maybe this will get someones attention, who knows. Used Fan was missing locking nut and thumbscrews for the base. I looked at my order here on Amazon and I couldnt find any way to message about the missing parts, when I clicked support on the order I was directed to a page with Honeywells contact information. I ended up ordering a replacement parts from Honeywell, because Amazons only form of support was to direct me to Honeywell. In this case I dont feel its Honeywells responsibility to replace parts that Amazon lost when repackaging this product. Honeywell did so, happily, at no expense to me. I would totally come back and make this review 5 stars if Amazon can step up and provide some actual answers or support for what is obviously an error on Amazons behalf. ***** Bought this fan used and I couldnt be happier with the performance of the fan. Used description said new product with damaged packaging. Sure enough the packaging was in tatters, the Thank you for giving this product a second life - Amazon stickers slapped all over the box was the only thing really keeping it together. Despite the sorry state of the box, at first look the fan sure does look new. Inside the box are a cardboard insert, the Fan (wrapped in plastic), two halves of the base (individually wrapped in plastic), the Remote (wrapped in plastic), and and assembly instruction card. No warranty card, no manual. The instruction card shows step 1 as how to snap the base together, and step 2 shows how to remove the locking nut from the base of the fan. Heres where I run into an issue: There isnt one on the bottom of the fan. I can see the threads where it would be screwed on, and its not there. I go back and check the box, nothing. Step 3 and 4 show how to align the fan to the base and secure it using the locking nut. At this point I figure I just want to see how the fan works, Ill worry about securing it later. And wow, this fan is amazing. Even on its lowest setting the airflow is considerable and the fan is almost completely silent, and on its highest setting the fan is still quiet while pushing out a considerable amount of air. And with 8 different settings you can find the balance that fits for you, mine is probably 6 or 7. The sleep setting was a must, and works as intended with options for 1, 2, 4 and 8 hours. There oscillation setting only goes in what looks to be a 90* angle, but that suits my needs perfectly. There is a button for changing the brightness of the LED on the fan, it doesnt bother me to much at its brightest but its a nice feature to have. (note about a flaw with the remote and this button/feature below) The remote is super handy and works pretty well. One issue I noticed is that there is no light setting on the remote and when you change the fan speed it resets the indicator light on the fan. The light isnt super bright at its brightest, but Im sure it could bother others more than it does me, so I mention it anyways. I cant speak for the range, its across the room from my desk but less than 20 feet away. Overall Im very happy with my fan and Im sure Ill be even happier when its fully and properly assembled with all the proper parts. Currently I have some tie wire carefully wrapped around the threads and gorilla tape wrapped around that to secure the fan to the base. Its pretty sturdy with this temporary fix while Im waiting on Honeywells parts to come in.

> 3 dayThis fan is extremely simple to use. I set it up with no issue and started using it immediately. I like how clean the design is and that it doesn’t take up to much space. It is fairly quiet but I almost wish it was louder. I like to use louder fans as white noise when I sleep. The remote works very well so you don’t have to get up and walk directly to the fan every time you want to change a setting. Overall, this is a really nice fan and I think it’s well designed. The display on the top is top notch quality as well as everything else that comes along with the fan itself. Definitely a good buy!

> 3 dayI read and watched tons of reviews. I expected this to be more powerful than it actually is compared to other fans this one’s OK. It does the trick, but if you’re looking for something super powerful with a larger turning radius, I would look somewhere else. I put this, about 10 feet away from my bed and I can feel it but I just wish it was more powerful. It’s a nice fan but unfortunately after a couple months, something went wrong with the lights on the display and most of them are lit up, but regardless, I use it quite a bit .

21-04-2025While the fan is running, its great. I love being able to control the speed with finer granularity than just low/med/hi. At its lowest, it provides adequate air movement with low (but still audible) noise. I keep the fan about 15 feet from my pillow. I also love the small footprint. It fits nicely in the corner between two doors in our bedroom. If only I had an outlet in said corner, but thats my fault, not the fans. That said, I hope you never need to turn on or adjust the fan speed in the middle of the night while your significant other is sleeping. 1. When turned on, the fan starts out at the highest speed before settling down to whatever is set. Meaning its LOUD when first turned on. Not great while trying to keep quiet. 2. The buttons on the unit make a very audible CLICK. Not great while trying to keep quiet. 3. The buttons on the remote ALSO make a very audible CLICK. Not great while trying to keep quiet. 4. There is no way to *lower* the fan speed. The buttons only make it faster and then wrap around after hitting the max. Not great while trying to keep quiet. So yeah. Decent fan. Just steer clear if you expect to adjust it in the middle of the night with a light-sleeping partner.

> 3 daypurchased this tower fan on June 28th 2020, honey well being a trusted brand I felt confident. initially the fan worked great, quiet, powerful, very nice. by the 2nd or 3rd day it started to function oddly. would turn off by itself, oscillate on its own, speed settings would change without touch the controls. I believe the remote for my tv was the cause of the issue, perhaps a cross of frequencies. would work ok if I didnt point the tv remote towards the fan. I can live with that. by the 5th or 6th day the fan itself just stopped working. the control panel and remote were still live and you could see the settings being changed however the actual fan blades would not spin therefore the unit would produce no air flow. quite disappointed to say the least. In light of this inconvenience amazon took care of the issue quite well. sent me a replacement model the following business day at no charge pending the return of the defective model. I have sent back the original order and now have the replacement. so far it is working great and I hope to not have an problems 2nd time around. despite that first fan being defective I am willing to try another one and amazon has provided excellent customer service.

> 3 dayBought this for an addition to my house that has poor heating and cooling. It’s 12 x 20 feet. Very impressed, quite quiet and it cools the room well.
