It is a heavy paper material bag. I was a little concerned that the connection through the cardboard would not be tight enough, but the suction is great, so these are working perfectly! A little pricey, but I opted for OEM parts to be sure it would fit properly. I am happy enough with these that I would reorder.

Because my kids have asthma, its important to me that my Hoover upright not be spewing dust everywhere when I vacuum, so its worth it to go for the micro filtration bags. Ive tried off-brands, including Rug Doctor, but the Hoovers seem to be more substantial and better made, so Im sticking with them.
