Got the 2 pack of conditioner and oil. Not much of a complaint as a note, these pretty much overlap in use in my opinion. Both of them instruct you to apply a few coats, and both of them contain lots of oil. If your wood is in decent shape, you may not need the conditioner, and if you have old beat up wood that needs some life restored, the conditioner may be best. Anyway, this is a bit of a chore, and applying 3-4 coats is quite the job. It did the job for me and restored the color and waterproof properties desired in a cutting board. I also treated an Ikea butcher block counter top we have and it restored its luster as well.

I like that these products are food safe and are easy to apply. The counters look beautiful.

I make my own chopping boards (these are out of Maple and Purple Heart), dont sell them just give them to friends, but found that Howard Butcher block works really well. If you have raw wood (sanded to 600 Grit), I would recommend using the conditioner first, let it rest overnight (both sides), then use the wax. 2-3 coats I think are best (6-8 hours between coat seems to work). Over time you will see the wood gets a little dry (loses the shine), as you chop and wash, so just reapply the wax and you will be good to go.

Honestly, I found this to be an excellent product for wood. Hands down, this is the best I have ever used. I have a ton of wooden utensils and cutting boards. I cook a real lot, and love every minute of it. So it is real important to me to take good care of my wood utensils. Most of the pieces I have can not be found any more, much to my disappointment. Most of the pieces I have had for over 55 years. So I take good care of them,

Ive used this from day of install (almost 1 year). I have 2 butcher block style tops, one is a desk that rarely sees crumbs or food and is not whipped often, Ive done that 3 times and looks great. The other is our food prep area. This gets whipped daily sometimes multiple times. I apply the wax compound about once a month. 1 bottle has lasted me almost 1 year but I applied many coats before install 2 ensure a good seal of bottom and allow it 2 soak in. 1st pic is wet on work station, 2nd is dry on desk. Desk hasnt been done on probly 4 months. Decent product but Im going 2 try a wax this time.

My husband made me two charcuterie boards and this product completed the project. Very easy to apply. We gave them 3 coats in the beginning. After that a coat once a month seeing I use my boards almost every weekend. No weird after smell and safe for food.

Used on a very large butcher block. I used a lot and there is still a lot left. Does the job!
