HTC VIVE Virtual Reality System Tracker

You have to add them as Controllers in SteamVR, but other than that, these trackers Just Worked™ on Linux after a small setup step.

So far these 3 trackers I’ve ordered are pretty amazing. I don’t use them for much else then for full body tracking in Vr Chat, but honestly that alone is fine enough for me. The tracking for the legs is great and you can get real sense of movement with your legs. I usually set them up around the front of my ankles, and never have a problem with my sensors picking them up. The hip sensor was kinda hard to find the right spot to place so I can still allow the sensors to pick up my movements while still being comfortable and not restricted with where I sat and layed like. I found placing the sensor on my right hip was best for me. Overall I can’t really complain at all about these sensors besides the price, and how long the batteries last. I do play for long periods of time so this will probably not be a problem for others. The price would be way more acceptable if they were half their price, but overall I’m not ashamed or too broke after my purchase. I just can’t eat Panda Express as much as I want to now. Either way if you want to do more interactive stuff and “perform” for others in game, and even get a pretty good workout by dancing, fighting, or repeativly doing weird gags where you fall over dramatically and get back up. These sensors are amazing, and the comedy and laughter you get from people after doing funny stuff with your full body tracking is so worth it. Only buys these in 3’s and I highly recommend. Honestly it’s just the price, and everything else is perfect.

The trackers arrived on time and are amazing to use in full body. I can now dance and explore virtual worlds with friends in my favorite online games. Other then the trackers being a little bulky they work as intended.

Adds to the immersion of your VR experience for supported games

Check your boxes immediately. I ordered three of these, and none of them came with the dongle thats supposed to fit into the cradle. I didnt realize I was missing hardware, I just thought that the cradle was the receiver and couldnt figure out why I could only get my headset to recognize the tracker as a controller. By the time I realized what was wrong I was way passed any reasonable time to return.

Wow! These are amazing, they have excellent battery life, excellent size and weight, and with the 1.0 base stations, impressively EXTREMELY accurate, absolutely blows the oculus 2 tracking out of the water.

It sounds weird but in a game like VRChat, these make everything feel more real. Even if youre just sitting in front of a mirror for a couple hours. Its an experience, and definitely not one everybody can afford. If you get the chance to try it out, go for it.

Id love to give 5 stars but knocking one-off for the price being steep along with I had to tinker a bit to get the third one to pair correctly. If you are having trouble paring I did so by turning off and repairing one that was good to the tracker that wouldnt pair, that did the trick and just like that I was off to dance and party in vr.

These trackers are tiny compared to the 1.0 vive trackers, not as bulky, they are way lighter and last way longer! They are 10/10 as a dancer these things are needed <3
