iFixit Essential Electronics Toolkit - PC, Laptop, Phone Repair Kit

I had to open a new Lenovo laptop to add additional memory only to find out that it had some kind of internal tabs as well as the screws holding the bottom cover on! I have some cell phone openers, but they couldnt pry up the bottom cover. I did a search and found this kit. The Opening tool (pry bar), Jimmy, Spudger and picks worked great opening the bottom cover. I was able to get the cover off in just a couple of minutes. I asked myself Where have you been all of my life? I have been working on small electronics for over 40 years and have many specialty tools. This is a great addition to my collection and WILL save me time in the future. FYI - The handle for the screw bits has a magnet in it and will hold the bit AND magnetize it while it is in the handle also. To facilitate tool removal from the case press down on the end of the tool and it will lift the other end up. The lid is completely removable and can be used to hold screws, etc. The lid is firmly held on to the other half of the case with four small magnets. I was so impressed with this set that I also bought the iFixit Prying and Opening Tool Assortment (on Amazon). I would recommend this product and purchase it again. This kit has had every bit that I have need to take apart and reassemble various brands of phones. The magnetic bit hold is probably the best part of this kit. Highly recommend.

Purchased this kit from Amazon and it worked perfectly for my task. All screwdriver accessories are magnetic and the entire kit is very well made for electronics.

I already a one set of iFixit tools. This was for the missing tools I didnt have and wanted. Its a great addition, now I have everything to work on small electronics and make repairs myself.

Bought this for my man because he works on computers and other electronics. Great for getting in small or tight areas of a computer. You have a magnetic screwdriver that holds the screw while you find the hold to put it in. There is a pick and a crowbar looking thing (I dont know the name of piece) that you can use to pull and push parts open or closed. It comes in a nice carrying case so he can take it on the go. This would make a great gift for anyone.

Included everything I needed to swap my Yoga C930 battery. Suction cup lifted the back cover nicely.

Exactly what I needed to remove the display assembly on my tablet and replace the battery. The #00 Phillips bit and bit driver to get the tiny screws, the opening tool, jimmy, and picks to get the assembly off the base, spudger to unclip the battery connector. Everything neat in a nice case. Exactly what I expect from iFixit.

We work on laptops and have to replace screens regularly. The tools we used didnt last long and had to be replaced frequently. We went with this toolkit for the lifetime warranty and selection of tools. The Jimmy is the greatest thing ever. It provides the best grip and leverages to remove laptop screens.
