> 24 hourThis is excellent speaker wire, easy to use and malleable. The 14 gauge worked great on two 37 foot runs to my satellite rear speakers going over doorways and such.I dont notice any signal loss in sound. The color coding is easily identifiable and I didnt have any polarity issues.

> 24 hourI guess you can call me an audiophile because I am continually upgrading and expanding my home theater system. I recently purchased the Pioneer Elite VSX-LX302 7.2-Channel Network A/V Receiver for my second home theater set-up (Living room and now in the family room. I wanted the look of a very professional set-up. (ie. No more visible wires tacked up in the corners, etc.) In electronic terms, the thicker the wire, the less the resistance... which equals better sound quality and more power over longer strands of wires. (Think of it in terms of breathing through a straw or a PVC pipe... Nuff said) The wire arrived double boxed and heavy. The spool weighed 10.6 lbs. Perfect! The wire texture is soft and moderately flexible. Each strand is made of several smaller strands and the power level remained great to each of my 100w speakers. It was actually very easy to run each strand through my wall, up to the attic and down to each of my 4 surround sound speakers. Depending on your personal set-up and wattage needs, this size and type of wire is a must. You can pay 2 to 3 times as much for pure copper, but youre not likely to truly hear the difference so why pay for it? I purchased the 500-foot spool because Im also planning to replace the old 18 gauge wiring in my living room, and I wanted to have plenty to spare. The color coding is very helpful and easy to see, even in my attic with my led flashlight. In the end, my new 7.2 system sounds great! Im loving the Dolby Atmos selection, making mine, a true surround sound experience. Measure twice and Cut once. This was a very smart purchase for me and I have no regrets.
