AMD came out with the big guns this year, but the 9600K still provides excellent performance for my wifes PC. very easy to get to 5GHz, enables my RTX 2070 Super to produce 200+FPS in some games easily.

Good intel processor for games and development. I paired it with nVidia RTX 2060. Most of the title can be played on 2k with High to Ultra High settings with 80-120fps.

This cpu is fantastic! Battlefield 5, gtaV, and every other game I have thrown at this cpu hits 120fps easily with a gtx 1070 with all settings set to their highest values at 1080p at out of the box stock settings. As a matter of fact, I know its bottlenecking my 1070 hard. With an upgrade in gpu, I imagine mainting 120fps at 1440p wont be hard either. I am extremley satisfied with this product and am glad I chose the i5 over i7 or i9. I am sure content creators or people running hi res displays might want something stronger, but currently as of this review, I dont think spending any more on a cpu will net any noticeble boost in game performance at 1080p.
