This is so much better than the Skylake I replaced for this, it never does stupid things like freezing up or fail to start up.

Does what it is supposed to do. This is a very very fast processor. I would definitely recommend

Replaced the weak CPU that my QNAP NAS came with with the i7-8700. Runs cool, works well, and is able to host a bunch of Virtual Machines on my QNAP box.

Blisteringly fast at stock, came from a 3770 though so that is expected, however do not scrimp on your cooler as this thing runs hot under load. Ive upgraded to a 360 AIO to rectify that as the hyper 212 is not good enough but a hyper 212 will do at stock and under medium loads where of course it will fine! This CPU is a beast.

I have this chip delidded and stable at 5.4ghz keeping under 70 degrees with just an AIO!

Great chip but cheaper on Newegg.

Ordered one Core i7, which my son is using and loves. But, I received a box of 5. We did not notify right away because we had a death in our family. We still have the extra 4, unopened, Core i7s. Shoot us an email with information if you would like us to ship them back to you.
