    I build P.C.s for 24+yrs and I built a Ryzen(1700x) last summer & a new intel P.C. this summer.

I suppose if I were a Windoze guy, this may be a fine chip. Im not a gamer, so the build in graphics should be fine for me. Ubuntu/Linux Mint is NOT ready for this chip! Activating the graphics was a nightmare! I was eventually able to obtain open source drivers from Intel, and did get it working, but it was not easy.

    I7 2600K endlich in Rente geschickt.Läuft auf einem Fatal1ty Z370 Professional Gaming i7 ohne Probleme.Nicht übertaktet,in Kombination mit Noctua NH-D15.

A very powerful CPU that makes light work of all day to day and gaming tasks right out of the box. Fine for the average user although buying the 8700 non K might save some money.

Very fast, and runs cool with my air cooler (Noctua CPU Cooler [NH-U12S]). This is for a business PC I knew Id never OC and I like the idea of less power, which usually equals less heat, so I got the non-K 8700. So far, very good. Does not bog down regardless of the multi-tasking of CPU hungry programs.

The CPU Ive received I would like to say is faulty. I can not do anything without it stuttering. Ive tried troubleshooting it myself by buying water coolant for it, and downloading additional software to get it to work properly but it still doesnt not work to my expectations. Ive seen all the reviews for it and how great this product is but unfortunately the one Ive received if not up to par. I cannot give this a good rating because of this, the my main purpose for my rig is for gaming and due to the poor performance of this CPU, my performance in my gaming is suffering. The stuttering got so bad that I could not even watch a YouTube video and moving my mouse caused the video to stutter. During gaming its good one minute than another you will start teleporting everywhere.

I have two HEDT computer builds, one is the 5930 K with 1080 SLI and now an 8700 K with two 1080 TI’s. It’s pretty funny because the 5930 K can keep up and hold it own pretty much to the 8700 K. I did try to go with Amd In the end I guess I’m an Intel fanboy, because Intel just puts out amazing central processing units and I will always be building Intel from now on. I do wish AMD’s X3 99 chipset wasn’t such a huge mess it’s starting to get better but in the end I’m staying with Intel and this processor is freaking amazing especially for overclocking.

Jumped from a i5 5500. So this was a nice upgrade. Had it overclocked but was having issues so just ran it stock. Makes streaming and gaming together a breeze. I will try overclocking again.
