> 3 dayAfter seeing a pcpp build list with the 8086k and a Gigabyte Aorus Gaming 5 by a first time builder, and seeing other first time builders eyeball or insist on this CPU, i felt I had to add the following. There is no point in spending the extra $$$£££€€€ unless you intend to overclock the 8086k as high as possible. If youre going to spend extra on this for OCing, then you might as well spend extra on the motherboard by getting something along the lines of an ASRock Taichi or Professional, Maximus X, or the Gigabyte Gaming 7. The effect the extra 300mhz has on gaming is very minimal and youd barely notice the difference even if youre trying to push a 144hz monitor. You can actually shore the difference up between the 8700k and this 8086k by using 3200mhz CL14 memory. This CPU is for the people who are willing to Mod or spend the extra dough on trying to get their numbers as high as they can get.
