Bought the i7-8700k and once I got it there was a i5-2500k inside, the package was visibly opened and my item was stolen, getting it figured out and will change review if I get my proper GPU.

Nothing unexpected. Great performance years after release. Can get a bit warm after overclocking. Only downside is the core count (more cpus are adding similar or higher amount of cores for same or lower price). Great clock speed. Locked at 5.1 ghz for years with 34-40 C idle temp. Bought mainly for gaming so as mentioned, more options are available now for productivity.

4.7Ghz auto OC, stable with a dual 120mm fan AIO. Temps always below 80.

Terrific right out of the box. Great overclocker too! Just be sure you have superb CPU cooling. DO keep in mind that you need a Z370 series mothboard. These do not fit/work in Z170 and Z270 motherboards.
