13-04-2025Installed in my Asus motherboard. Tried the AI overclocking and the CPU easily hit 5.1 GHz without any additional tweaking. CPU is plenty fast without the overclocking though, which I dont need or use for my computer. Nice to know the extra clocking is there if I need it though.

> 3 dayI have this CPU on a Gigabyte AORUS Z-390 PRO motherboard with 64GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance @3200MHz. The motherboard did some factory overclocking on the CPU, it set it to 4.9GHz, I had to explicitly enable XMP for the RAM to get it to run 3200 MHz. I used the Gigabyte utility to OC all cores to 4.9GHz and it worked fine, but it was hitting 100 degrees under full load (playing AC Oddysey). Bought a Dark Rock Pro 4 CPU cooler because the Zalman CNPS-9000 I had was very loud under full load. Also pulled back on the OC a bit and left with 4.6GHz on all cores as almost 5GHz on air was difficult to sustain. With a Dark Rock Pro 4 cooler itll not pass 86-87 degrees Celsius under full load and is running 39-41 when idle. Also, this model has no HyperThreading. Overall very happy with the performance.
