IQIKU HDMI Adapter for WII with HDMI Cable

Greater than one weekIve had a Wii sitting in a cabinet for probably five years now since we got rid of our last CRT television and found it recently. I went to hook it up and realized the new TV only has HDMI inputs. I went ahead and ordered this and hooked it up. Note, it is very important in the Wii to set the resolution to 480p or you will get glitches and freezes. Newer 4K TVs certainly reveal the limitations of the Wiis graphics but its quite fun to crack out a nearly 20 year old game system and revisit Super Mario Brothers and Lego Indiana Jones. For a sub 10 dollar investment, you cannot go wrong if you have a working Wii and a newer TV.

> 3 dayFor convenience more than display quality. It will only take the Wii from 480i to 480p, but that’s not what got me to order this product. I wanted to be able to use an HDMI cable on an old system and this did the trick. The bonus HDMI cable makes this a great buy! The graphics are fine, but it’s still a Wii with limited picture quality. I would recommend this to anyone looking to play an old system on a newer TV. Happy reviewer!

> 3 dayThis is a great adapter to give new life to your old WII. The WII originally used RGB cables. Some modern TVs are not including RGB jacks anymore. This HDMI adapter is your solution. The package includes the WII HDMI Adapter and an HDMI cable so you have everything that you need to go HDMI with your WII. The adapter plugs into the back of the WII. Initially, when we installed the adapter, we thought something was wrong. The display was showing the 4:3 aspect ratio instead of a wide 16:9 aspect ratio. We then realized that it was not the adapter, but a setting on the WII. Once the setting was corrected, the display looked great. We could even see a little sharper detail in the graphics. So, if you are looking to get a little more life out of your WII, this is the adapter that you are looking for.

Greater than one weekReceived the package yesterday and installed it today. Was very easy to install as it was pretty much plug and play. Audio and video transfer with no issues. I was first worried that I was going to need to install the audio plug to a headset or stereo but was not needed. My son is happy so Im happy. Now this freed up the RCA ports for his other plug and play games.

> 3 dayIt works and everything, but you have to connect the sound externally. If it wasnt for that, Id give it 5 stars.

21-04-2025Back when the Wii was released in 2006, Nintendo had chosen to focus on motion controls as their new innovation and were the only console of the generation to stick with SD graphics. While it may have been a smart decision at the time, the ongoing developments in TV technology are starting to leave older devices out. HDMI is the norm now and many HDTVs dont even have the proper inputs to connect to pre-HD devices. This device replaces the RCA connection on the Wii for HDMI. The box includes the HDMI adapter as well as an HDMI cable. Im happy to report its simple and it works. You simply attach the adapter to the Wii, connect the HDMI cable, and you can jump right back into Wii Bowling. I found that it outputs at 480p @ 60Hz on my television (in one of the pictures my TV shows a notification at the bottom of what resolution is being displayed). This might disappoint some people hoping for an upscaled resolution. Make sure to adjust your Wiis picture settings for the best image quality. Overall, this is a very affordable and solid solution for anyone who is looking to play their Wii on a modern televsion.

22-04-2025I have tried so many things to get my Wii to play on my newer TV. Finally a product that is as easy to use as the cable that originally came with the Wii. Its like Nintendo made this cable. Plug it into the console and into the TV, and thats it. Youll get all the video and audio quality of which the Wii is capable. I recommend this product.

> 3 dayThis converts your Wiis analog signal to digital for use in an HDMI-in TV. If you dont have component hookups, and want an easy way to solve that, this is it. Picture quality is slightly improved due to a digitization, but thats really a subjective take. What you need to know is that it works, and works well.
