WARNING: was not wired correctly. The white, signal wire was in the wrong location. Making the item useless until the wire was placed in the right location. Works great after fix was made.

At the end of the day this product works. My two big issues were that I was missing some long bolts(maybe I lost them). I was able to find them in the Prusa spare parts bag. The second was I used a black PETG. The sensor was not triggered by the PETG plastic flag. I ended up putting a small piece of metal duct tape on the PETG flag so the sensor would see it. Everything else worked like a dream. I am happy.

Was able to hook this up to my Duet board with ease. Works as it should, and fit an MK3S hotend.

Like the title. first it was intermittent. Then it didnt work and i powered it with a bench top power supply and it was dead. Amazon though, full refund, cant complain. Just going to pay double and get the prusa made one. Too bad, most others seem to have had really good results. Excited to a get a run out sensor working soon!

I wish I saw this here before purchasing the upgrade kit from Prusa. Quick back story: Since I bought my MK3 I have never had any luck with their filament sensors working for long. I think I went through 4 in one year. Then they upgraded to the MK3 to MK3S with a new sensor. I upgraded the 1st of June and the new sensor lasted about a month. As soon as I put this new filament sensor in it worked right away. Now time will tell. I see another reviewer mentioned an issue with the cable, I reused the one that came with my upgrade kit.

This worked will on the Prusa MK2 to MK2.5S upgrade with the Rambo 13a board. There were slots on the board for the connectors. It is nice to have an autoload feature on the printer. Fit very well into the printed extruder housing and all the parts are in this kit for the upgrade.

This is a complete kit. To the guy who stated that after ordering three kits, none of which had magnets, you should open up the sponge insert. The magnets are in there so that they dont interact with the steel screws and nuts. Ill update this review once I have the upgrade completed and tested.

This part worked great. Print your own parts, keep all the screws and this is an identical upgrade to the original.

Package: Filament IR sensor, twisted cable, 2x screws, 2x M3ns Nuts, 2xM3n nuts, 2pcs magnets N40H 120 degree, 1x steel ball.
