> 3 dayWARNING: was not wired correctly. The white, signal wire was in the wrong location. Making the item useless until the wire was placed in the right location. Works great after fix was made.

> 3 dayI have an orginal one from prusa as well. This one works the same no problems so far. Used up all my left spool filament just to test. Working as intended.

05-06-2025All the needed parts, for a fantastic price. This works 100% on my Prusa i3 MK2.5S+, which Id just upgraded from a MK2/S. All the parts (magnets, ball bearing, sensor, harness, and screws) were included, which really saved me a lot of time sourcing that stuff. One thing: My sensor did not work, until I switched the white wire (on the 5 slot connector side) from pin 5 to pin 4, as others mentioned (and you can also google Prusa IR sensor pinout to verify!) Once I switched the white (sensor) wire from slot 5 to slot 4 in the connector, and plugged it in, it works 100%.

> 3 dayWas able to hook this up to my Duet board with ease. Works as it should, and fit an MK3S hotend.

> 3 dayIt seems to be a good replacement for the original sensor that came in the printer. I installed it and fixed the false filament out errors.

> 3 dayLike the title. first it was intermittent. Then it didnt work and i powered it with a bench top power supply and it was dead. Amazon though, full refund, cant complain. Just going to pay double and get the prusa made one. Too bad, most others seem to have had really good results. Excited to a get a run out sensor working soon!

Greater than one weekAt the end of the day this product works. My two big issues were that I was missing some long bolts(maybe I lost them). I was able to find them in the Prusa spare parts bag. The second was I used a black PETG. The sensor was not triggered by the PETG plastic flag. I ended up putting a small piece of metal duct tape on the PETG flag so the sensor would see it. Everything else worked like a dream. I am happy.
