The hinges are sturdy. I use to buy Dollar Store glasses, but no more. These cost about $3 a piece and will out last the Dollar Store ones at least 10 times over. They are more comfortable and feel like the ones I have had from the optometrist.

I bought these to replace the inexpensive, now broken, pairs purchased from grocery and super stores over the past year. I responded to the reviews posted by past purchasers...thank you Amazon community for your feedback! I now have them stashed all around my house (bedroom, living room, bathroom, at computer, and backups for my purse). I find them to be sturdier than the previous store-bought pairs. I also have a wide face/head and these fit without straining the sides, while staying put on my face/nose. The lenses also appear to be a better quality than my previous pairs... less plastic-y and my vision is very clear. So, after a few days wearing several of the pairs, Im extremely happy with my purchase.

Glasses are nice and I have had fewer headaches since using blue blockers. Not happy that there was only 1 pouch not 1 for each pair.

The break was right through the plastic nose pads, not the hinge, and weirdly, this occurred while wearing them. Granted, they are VERY cheap at 6 pair for only $18.

While the glasses are attractive and comfortable to wear, they are made very poorly. They cracked almost immediately. The first time I thought perhaps I dropped them at a funny angle. But after the 3rd pair broke in less then 2 weeks I knew it wasn’t me!

Love these. Keep pairs all over the house and in my purse and at work. Work wonderfully and very stylish.
