18-11-2024This machine is currently in the shop for repair after only 4 or 5 projects. 2 pairs of pants. A tactical bag and a couple shirts. The machine will not pick up the bobbin thread at all and the top tension is weak. If you need to sew thick or heavy material this is not the machine for you.

> 3 dayI love this home sewing machine. Almost the strength of an industrial sewing machine.

Greater than one weekI am an intermediate level sewer. I have a 301a Singer from the 50s for heavy duty sewing and a Brother 1034D Serger. This very nice machine is a wonderful addition. I still dont know how to use all of the features but so far I am loving it. It seems to be pretty sturdy even compared to my Singer. All of the goodies that go along make it a great deal.

> 3 dayThis is a non-electronic basic machine. Doesnt like to sew thick material. Not suitable for quilting. I returned it and purchased a machine to handle quilting.

> 3 dayI bought my first Janome sewing machine 22 years ago. And after 22 years the reverse button got stuck. I am getting it fixed. In the meantime I purchase the Janome hd-3000be. I used it once when it arrived in January. It worked great. The second time I sewed on the machine (end of April) and thread began to fray and break in the area before the take up lever, and the thread get stuck or jam in the same area. I am horrified that I cannot return this machine. I did not buy warranty because of my experience with my first Janome. So, not only did I spend money on a new machine, but, I have to spend money to fixed it.

> 3 dayAfter getting knee deep in this Art Form, I was looking for a Machine that is a bit more sturdier and Heavy Duty than the Singer I started working with. The Singer is a great beginners Machine and will always have her on hand. During my research, I was checking out all of the brands, reviews and specs. I had talked with Sewing Machine Tech and during discussion, we had talked about the Jenome brand and that I liked of what I seen. He stated that I would not be disappointed with any Jenome Machine. I have about 6 to 7 hours on her and, I am so impressed ! The Bobbin Winder is smooth as a Babys Behind. Very quiet yet very Powerful. I would Highly Recommend this Machine for anyone getting into this Art ! I am just getting started here !

> 3 dayI am a professional seamstress for over 40 years. I had worn out my previous Janome and wanted a no frills machine. This machine is a sturdy and dependable beast! Love it. I’ve only had a week but it is everything I need. Why spend thousands on machines that have a hundred stitches when you need only a couple...straight, zig zag, stretch zig zag and a great buttonhole. I have a shop, “Little Blessings,” on Etsy and I make Blessing/Baptism dresses. This machine is a rockstar.

Greater than one weekThis seems a great machine so far. Sews through motorcycle gear. Not computerized (Yay!). This machine is heavy but not fully metal, like I was hoping. There’s a lot of plastic involved. Bonus pack is pretty awesome. (PS - Love the black, but it shows every fingerprint.)

Greater than one weekDisclaimer: This was purchased as a Thanksgiving gift to my wife, a veteran quilter - I wrote the review based on her observations and ratings. The Janome machine is made in Canada. It is a heavy duty unit, suitable for daily use. Yet, being mechanical (no internal computer) it is less likely to require frequent maintenance. A carrying case and special bundle of accessories were included in the price ~ a good value, compared to other researched machines. Since operation was totally different than her old sewing machine, my wife really appreciated the complete and well written instruction manual, including step by step procedures, with clear diagrams and drawings (exception: threader unit - last item in review). The machine runs quietly, fabric feeds very steadily, with almost no vibration. The unit came with many extras, including a box of quilting accessories and a sturdy integral carrying case. The bobbin case is clear, making it easy to judge thread use. Reverse button is handy, effective, and easy to use. Pressure foot attachment is a metal bar, making it easier to change and much more secure than plastics on other machines. This Janome unit offers eighteen different stitches. Selection is easy. Results are uniform and reliable. Accessory storage box is on the front of the machine, and slides off easily ~ i.e. when sewing pantlegs, etc. My wifes only negative comment was The needle threader sure seems nifty, but Im darned if I can figure how to use it. (were working on this one). ~ Dave Buckley ~ as instructed by Beth Buckley who was off quilting busily.

> 3 dayI love this machine. Replaced an old Hobby model. It looks really good in black and came with lots of accessories. So far I’ve just used for making face masks, but can’t wait to get back to making some clothes and crafts.
