This is a very well made backpack with a base that helps it sit up steadily. It is big enough for all my granddaughters books and also for short weekend visits to her friends homes.

I had a Jansport bag as a teenager and loved it. Thought Id treat myself and wait for ages for the delivery. BIG MISTAKE! Here are the problems:

We had ordered another backpack prior to ordering this. It looked great, but was too small. I chose this backpack by reviews and reputation. We ordered the black and the insides are white which was a bad choice in my opinion The interior is this and does not have great pencil etc storage like his previous backpacks. It seems to have a laptop pouch with no protection. The zippers are a bit awkward as other reviews have stated. It is a lot to do with the covering lip that goes over them which is great for protection, but may not be great for kids who get material caught in zippers. It is a bit smaller than I thought, but does hold my sons 2 inch binder a lot of previous backpacks do not have a wide enough opening so this was a plus. My older son came home with the same backpack that was black, but white on the front. It was dirty looking on the white he said it does not clean well, but he has a few years and somewhat happy with it. My biggest complaint at this time would be the white thin inside material just why would you do this and it needs to be more obvious that it has white inside. It reminds me of an old cheap purse lining. I imagine it will show pen marks etc and be hard to clean stains, but we will see. The handle on the top is so so and comfort padding for straps and back seem somewhat lacking. He has only carried a couple of weeks so I will try to remember to update this review.

Happy to have a new JanSport with the leather bottom. Had my old one for 13 years before the shoulder strap seam gave out, on an edge that couldnt be repaired.

My daughter loves it. So far so good.

My 11 year old loves his bag. It holds lots of stuff and has many compartments, yet is lightweight when empty. Shoulder straps are comfortable and dont slip off his shoulders.
