I hade the boombox 1 and absolutely loved it. I used everywhere. Camping, yard work, in the house. It was a great speaker. Then the power button was not always working. It would take 3-8 pushes or holding of power button to get it to come on. I contacted JBL and was given a shipping label to send it off. JBL was out of the Boombox 1, and arranged for me to receive the Boombox 2. I received the Boombox 2 and it is awesome as well with better bass response. The connectivity is excellent and has more detail in the handle. I also like the extra rubber extension around the ends. This adds some protection. I am impressed with the newer Boombox every time I turn it on. Everything from PinkFloyd to top hits. Great detail and balance. I am not looking for any eq settings. Maybe I can get a second Boombox 2 for a stereo setup!

I am very disappointed. I bought the Boombox 2 because I already have the original. They dont pair together with bluetooth. It also took us about two hours of messing around, downloading a new app, and finally making a call to customer support to find out that they cannot pair together. This problem needs to be fixed. Im returning mine and buying the original .
