Why my steam deck can not fit in it with case.

Like many others I got my Steam Deck and found the included carrying case to be.. lacking. Specifically it had no room for any accessories or SD cards or cables or really anything other than the Deck. I did some research and everyone had been raving about the JSAUX case so I decided to go with that one. The outer shell is very sturdy and I like the carrying handle but there are a few things I dont like about this case. The bottom compartment is much smaller than it could be - it barely fits the power brick I got to go with my deck and definitely doesnt fit it if I put a cable on it. The closing mechanism is very confusing and doesnt feel like youre doing it right. The kickstand folds over itself and goes on top of the deck but doesnt fit very well if you put ANYTHING in the net. The velcrow strap used to secure the deck in place has lost all cohesion after about 2 weeks of use. I like the kickstand aspect as I can use it to stand the deck up and play instead of holding that heavy boi but thats about the only thing in the interior I really enjoy. Overall this is a solid case but I think I fell for the hype too much or maybe Im spoiled by my Nintendo Switch case which has tons of space.

The cases sturdiness and quality is almost exactly like the official steam deck case with extra compartments for micro SDs and more. The small pocket can store the dock but not with the original steam deck charger. I carry a small Anker charging cube with a 6ft USB-C to USB-C cable and a few electronic wipe packets along with the dock. It can fit most portable chargers but the one I have is too large to store. My only issue is the stand that comes with the case, DO NOT USE THIS, it blocks ventilation intake from the back and may be detrimental to the health of your device! My favorite feature is that you cant click the thumb-sticks while the case is closed (at least that easily) which is a good sign in case it does take quite an impact, im 100% confident that my device will be safe.

Great case for the steam deck. Shame original case was not like this one. Has room for my charger, sd cards, small usb-c dock and other items. Only drawback I see is if you use the case as a stand the back vent does get covered. If you do plan on using it as a stand also move the deck over so only 2 of the vent holes or blocked. It is a great replacement case that has storage, what more could you ask for.

I got this a few months ago and it seems like a really good case. My only complaint is the SD card flap folds the opposite way shown in some of the marketing material so rather than the SD cards facing the top of the case they art facing down towards the screen when folded. This isnt a huge deal in general but there is also a pocket blow them that I cant imagine what I could put in there because it would get crushed flat. If the flap folded the way that is displayed in some of the marketing material there is a little gap at the top/lid of the case where you could easily store wired earbuds or something in the pocket. But but it folds around the other way which leaves very little space. That said you can force it to fold the other way but you kind of have to bend it that way and it doesnt have a lot of room to velcro the strap. This is a minor complaint but just wanted people to know that the flap is made to go the opposite way shown in some of the marketing material.

Let me start off by saying that this is a better case than the one came with my 512gb Steam Deck. The case is sturdy and practical. It will definitely protect your device.. I’m so happy it can hold my 65w power-bank and a 6ft. usb type C charging cable. My only complaint is when using the case as a stand for my device, it covers majority of the intake vent holes on the back. Luckily I don’t play like this, just an FYI for other shoppers. (Seen on pictures attached) I’ve officially retired my factory Steam Deck case and resorted to using this one as my everyday carry.

It smells like vinegar, also you cant fit a JSAUX dock AND a charger in the storage. It does one or the other. Otherwise its a pretty nice case, but I think Im gonna try to do something about the horrible vinegar smell before bringing it anywhere.

This fits my steam deck great. I have room for the charger and a pair of small headphones inside it. I like it better than the OG case because the built in stand comes in handy when charging the steam deck and I’m not scared of losing my charger when it’s packed away. Easy to take through flight security as well. My fiancé and I both have this case now.
