> 3 dayThe sound of laughter and giggling that come from my daughters room are worth every penny for every book in this series. This series has turned her into a reading fanatic and for that I am elated! These books appeal to the inner mischief maker in all!

> 3 dayI cannot get passed the terrible grammar and misspelled words. I know it is written in the first person of a kindergartners voice but my child and many of her classmates (from all socio economic backgrounds) have better grammar than this. Many other parents I spoke to felt the same way. One said her daughter started to talk like a baby after reading her Junie books. Thankfully, after just 4 books, my daughter moved on to a better series.

> 3 daymy daughter has grown up with and loved reading the junie b jones series. its fun for her, which is the key to learning to read. the stories are adventurous, look at external relations, usually very funny, and possess an internal moral. the lines are light, not terribly long, introduce some new words, and move along quickly. shes at the outer age range for this set, but that doesnt matter to her, they provide her with hours of reading. the graphics are similarly light hearted, reaching at where shes at and drawing that. the pictures always relate to the words. the books are paperback, of good quality, able to take normal wear and tear posed by young children (but not THAT much!). it is well worth the price, which often isnt found in childrens books. i give everything a grade, and this series of books i give an A- and i highly recommend it to public and elementary school libraries as well as children usually within the reading range of 8 - 10, although many dads also enjoy reading them with their daughters.

> 3 dayI cant imagine more inappropriate reading for a 5-8 year old. These books are loaded with poor grammar, individual words that are too advanced and, on top of that, they encourage bad behavior. Avoid this series.

> 3 dayWhy are these books so popular? First of all, Junie B. is incredibly annoying. Shes Caillou level annoying. I guess some kids would find her funny, but my biggest issue is the use of grammar in these books... absolutely atrocious. My first grader actually asks me to read the books aloud and correct the words as I go. She can not stand that Junie B. Says things like runned, worstest, and says the word that before everyones name (That Grace had a big breath). Not a great series for young readers.
