K & S 83043 Round Aluminum Rod, 1/8 OD x 12 Long, 1 Piece, Made in The USA

A mistake was made in that I ordered 2-83047, 3/8 Diameter rod and I was sent 1- 83047 rod and 1- 9810 rod, which is an 8mm alum tube. Thus, I could not give a higher rating. Please keep in mind that mistakes like this happen and I do understand. The part isnt worth sending back or raising a fuss about, and I am sure that it is worth the $2.00 I paid for it, so I will keep it and order more aluminum stock later. I just wanted to give a heads up in case there may be a lot of stuff like this happening with the company.

I used these for crafting. They are very soft and bendable, ideal for sculpting. You can find for cheaper on hobby sites online, but these will arrive much quicker

The picture is of my second order. The first order was only bent in the middle. Both of the orders came in a bag which obviously was not adequate to protect the rods from the mail system. I will try again and see if the third Tim is the charm.

Quality

Then some of you might notice that the bar for the lids hinge (shown in the attached picture) can slowly migrate then fall out. I bought one of these cases for a co-worker and they were too busy to notice and push the bar back into place. Of course, they tasked me to fix it. This bar does the trick. 1/8 fits just fine though you will have to cut it to size and make sure to file down the rough edge.

I needed to make a new handle for something and this worked perfect. Soft enough to bend, yet sturdy enough to hold up to every day use.

The rod I thought would be good but it must’ve been flimsy as it was completely bent and it’s hard and bendy not sure if it’s supposed to be like that

Difficult to rate; these rods are as advertised. Nice and good price.

I use these in the construction of aluminum wind chimes.
