> 24 hourI did not buy mine from Amazon. I bought it from HRO with a Diamond antenna. The mount however is very sturdy and easy to install and set up. Just take your time.

> 24 hourThe mount is mounted on the trunk of my Mazda 6. It is secure and solid. it easily holds either my Diamond 70cm/2m or MFJ 1456 antennas with ease. Highway speeds are no problem. Both the seller and product are 5 star, and I highly recommend them both.

> 24 hourI bought mine back in 2010 and been using it since then with the only problem is the small set screws that help hold it to the lip of the body of the car you use. The set screws started to round out so the Allen key wouldnt tighten them, so I bought 8 more but these are set screwws with a round head on them that uses a bigger Allen Key. The only problem then is with the new set screws you need more room on the inside of the jam since the head sticks out about a 1/8 of an inch. I have my mount on my Conversion Vans rear door and with the new set screws I can get it ready tight now. I also drilled a hole on the side of the base where my 4 foot FireStik mounts to for a better ground by adding a ground wire This mount is great because its easy to set up and transfer to a different vehicle if needed I would buy again if needed

> 24 hourI cannot recommend this antenna mount as it is made now because it will not hold the antenna in a fixed position. I recently purchased a Diamond K400S as the recommended mount for a Diamond CR-8900A antenna. I planned on using my YAESU FT-8900R in the lower 10 and 6 meter bands which I have never used before. This was a 3,500 mile trip and unfortunately I was never able to use the radio. The antenna mount would not stay tightened. I didn’t get even 20 minutes from home before the mount started to wobble loose. After several attempts at tightening one of the axis screws, I gave up and removed the antenna. I notice that regardless how tight the axis screw is, there is still play/wobble in one of the axis (see photo). I wonder if this causes the screw to come lose in a short period of time. Note, it is not the trunk clamp wobbling. It is the axis even when screw is fully tightened. Eventually (in my case - 20 minutes), the antenna falls over because the screw comes lose and lets the axis turn freely. The CR-8900A antenna, made by the same manufacturer, specifically calls for this mount to be used. I think the mount is not stable enough for the weight of the heavy antenna. Right now, I can only use the mount when the car is stationary and I install the antenna. The antenna has to be removed to drive any distance. Although this will work in some cases, it is disappointing and does not qualify as a properly working product. Update: Dealers who sell the mount generally do not permit returns, so I emailed Diamond for support. There has been no response.

> 24 hourUnfortunately, this does not fit on the rear door of a Wrangler JLU (2018+). The metal on the rear door is beefed-up around the edges making it too thick for the clamp to work. The hood is thin enough to attach it there. I still give it a decent rating because, although useless to me, it is of good quality materials.

> 24 hourI got a D220r mobile discone from Ham outlet, which has a UHF connector and fit with K400S. The product comes with a UHF base with SMA female on the other end. I can connect this directly to my SDR dongle. I would say anyone with basic hands-on experience can install this mount pretty easily.
