We are using this for our outdoor patio lights and will be using it for our Holiday lights as well. Wonderful Technology! We love Kasa products!!

We have Kasa lights and switches all over. The smart plug we use outside at Christmas and program them with Google. All we have to do is say hey Google turn on Christmas lights and bam! Love it!

Now my patio light are voice controlled rather than manually turning them on

This plug lives up to Kasa’s standards. There’s no other Wi-Fi plug as far as I’m concerned.

This is the best plug i found after searching for a month that do not need base to communicate with plug and works really well with apple HomeKit; best part is individual plug setup with exactly what is it for so you never gets confused with which one is for which device

I have bought so many of these I absolutely love them they make my life way easier i connect them to patio lights and to outdoor fountains they save me lots of electricity money cause Alexa turns them off and on at certain time

The plug works great and pairs very well and easily. You will need to have kasa app and the integrate with Google home if Google is your preferred app. There have been few instances when Google assistant has complained about unable to run the routine as the device wasnt responding. Its not a big deal and its fairly common with the current iot technology. The device has survived a freezing rain, snow and 10f. So I am happy with its performance. However, my biggest frustration is that the manufacturers chose to put the max load on the plug as 1/2 hp electric motor. It takes special kind of intelligence to come up with that. Anyways, after a painstaking 30 mins of search, I found that I can plug up to 1400W. If you are unsure, get a load meter to measure before you plug in your load.

We use this to plug in two string light strands in our backyard. Works seamlessly through Alexa for voice command to turn them on and off. Could also place on a schedule if you wanted. It is outside permanently, so we wrapped the plugs in electrical tape just for extra protection and to keep them plugged in with tension on the line. Have never needed to mess with it since the install. Going to buy another one this year for Xmas lights.

I use them for my landscape lighting. I simply disconnect the timer feature on the power transformer, plug the transformer directly into the Kasa Outdoor Plug, then use my cell to program what I want. Works great and have had no problems.

I had to get a wifi extender, once I did that, this works great.
