> 3 dayAlexa Integration Rating: Installing this plug required using the Kasa App on my phone. I already had 5 fully functional Kasa plug in place. When I tried to use the Kasa app to install the new plug 4 of the 5 existing plugs ceased to work. I spent hours getting the 4 plugs and the new plug to work. The fifth plug doesnt show up on the Kasa app but it works perfectly. Remote Control Rating: I dont know if the problem is with Alexa or Kasa but sometimes both plugs on the new Kasa plug turn on when I have only asked for one to turn on. The names for the plugs may be too similar so it could be a user problem.

> 3 dayI use them for my landscape lighting. I simply disconnect the timer feature on the power transformer, plug the transformer directly into the Kasa Outdoor Plug, then use my cell to program what I want. Works great and have had no problems.

> 3 daySo I broke out all of our Christmas decorations -- and I had several iHome devices that I only use during the holidays as they are already named, scheduled, and ready to just go.... went to use them and they discontinued their app service and force me to use the Apple home kit which has never worked consistently. So I picked up a few of these to replace the ones I have on a Black Friday deal. Since I already have several Kasa switches and plugs in use, I already knew the procedure to add it to my repertoire of Kasa devices I already own. Within 10 min I had two devices setup and named. I like the independent control of the outlets (I bought the outdoor 2-socket units) and once setup, put them into service. Used the app to turn them on and they simply just work. I then took another 5-min to setup a schedule to turn them on and off and done. I checked last night and they turned off on schedule. The only difference that would make them even better is if the plugs were 90-degree angle plugs. The old ones I had were and fit nicely under my weather resistance outside outlet covers. Fortunately I have deep covers and was able to bend the wire without issue. The other way is just less strain on the wire itself, but again not a big deal whatsoever.

05-06-2025We use this to plug in two string light strands in our backyard. Works seamlessly through Alexa for voice command to turn them on and off. Could also place on a schedule if you wanted. It is outside permanently, so we wrapped the plugs in electrical tape just for extra protection and to keep them plugged in with tension on the line. Have never needed to mess with it since the install. Going to buy another one this year for Xmas lights.

> 3 dayI got this to use with my holiday decorations. It works perfectly. If the directions are followed you do have to be aware that if water gets into it, he will either short or cause GFCI outlets to trip. When using outdoors, it’s best to make sure the plugs are facing down and are clear of the grounds of water and mud don’t splash up into them.
