Used the brass wire brush in a hand drill to clean the surface of a badly crusted cast iron skillet before re-seasoning. Worked perfectly to recover a favorite pan without hours of hand scrubbing.

After 30 seconds on an old cast iron drill press base, the braided brush started to unravel, creating a 1 inch gash. Im flabbergasted by the positive reviews, which is why I bought this. Absolute junk.

performs as expected-I wish the brass one was triple twisted for higher rpm use.

Both brushes work great. The heavy duty knotted one really eats into caked on material and the brass wire one takes off light duty material without gouging.

Defitenitely helps cleaning old paint and other things. For some reason, it couldnt clean my bathtub stains.
