Kester 24-6040-0039 Rosin Cored Wire Solder Roll, 44 Activated, 0.040 Diameter

As advertised. A little expensive, but worth it. Use it on custom audio equipment. No issues.

I just started to solder, my first try was with some no name solder from China, 60/40 rosin core but it was .8 and didn’t work well for me at all. So i researched a little and bought kester brand at .4 and also bought flux. The next try my soldering connections came out beautifull!!!

Price was right works as described, I’ll buy again when needed.

We needed a lower melt temp solder for art projects. My daughter is using it to join steel horse shoe nails to make christmas ornaments. Works great. Flows out well and has a good strong bond. Little pricey but it works!

Best solder Ive ever used. Flowed easily, made nice clean joins every time. Worked like magic!

My Kester roll of 60/40 .040 finally ran out, date code 7/11/94 and looked forward to replacing it with the same.....but NO, no longer made in USA! Very disappointing. Will have to look elsewhere.
