Kester 24-6040-0053 Solder Roll, 66 Core Size, 0.050 Diameter

Its rosin core 60/40 solder. it melts, sticks to wires and goes solid again and there is enough here to cover my needs for the next decade or so. What more can you ask of solder.

What can go wrong with solder?

cant go wrong with Kester solder. this ones a bit thick but i have other sizes. Still at a decent price.

Not much to report here - I have used Kester 44 solder for 60 years. Number 44 is an old formula that contains lead, so if you are doing work that requires lead-free, choose a different product. The rosin flux cleans easily with solvent. If you need no-clean, choose a different product. Number 44 remains my favorite because it is easy to work with, makes reliable joints and is easy to clean.

You cant beat true leaded solder. This size, 0.050 is the perfect size for most jobs.
