Great solder for microminitrature electronic work! Very flexible and fine strand solder, melts evenly at very precise temprature. This is a purpose-built solder... If youre just soldering your stereo speakers with your radio shack soldering iron, move along! This is VERY narrow strand... .02mm Intended for small sensitive electronics work. PERFECT for reparing micro electonics, such as .3mm resistors, in todays electronic devices.

This is an identical brand and part number that I can get at DigiKey for twice the price. Well worth it just to buy here. This is leaded so you run it colder than lead-less, 650 degrees, which works way better on thin tip Weller guns IMHO without the tip getting so hot it stopping wicking. There is enough tinning in the solder itself you dont have to pre-tin pen your PCBs. The solder is also thin, which makes fine work possible. I would work on a microprocessor and any little 1mm x 2mm resistors with no problem with this solder. This is a quality name brand at a good price.

This solder flows amazingly well. It Shines like it has silver load in it. Would recommend to anyone that is looking for high quality solder! If you get this solder make sure you pick up a Flux scrubbing brush with it as this is does leave a bit of Flux on the board.

    The best, hands down

Melts like butter at around 200 C and wets like water. Amazing solder and with a hefty 1 pound spool, its gonna last for ages if you solder infrequently.

VERY fine-gauge precision 63/37 solder for electronic work or re-work. Usable for anything, but where this stuff shines is when youre replacing blown components on a PCB and cant be sure you can get all the flux off the board when youre done (you should still try with Isopropyl alcohol anyway) and not having a corroded mess a few years later matters. For larger soldering jobs youre going to feed a lot of this stuff, but thats ok. Its a nice-sized spool and will last you a long time; Kester makes some of the best and Ive been using it for more than 30 years. If you dont do fine PC work or rework the larger-diameter solder is more-convenient, but for high-precision work this is the jazz.

This is far and away the cheapest retail for this product. I needed quality no-clean solder fast, and Amazon delivered. Im accustomed to using 2% or 3% flux, so I did have to turn the temperature up a bit on my iron, but it flows very smoothly. I am very pleased with my projects so far. Yes, there is a bit of cleaning afterward, certainly nothing like cleaning rosin flux for hours.

Super shiny, flows nice, just enough activation to cut through some light crud. Kester quality made in USA. DOM was just a few months ago. Fresh!

Great Solder. Kester is a great brand. Very clean and low fumes. Great for general electronics.
