Worked great for key pad replacement used the old cut key and board. And everything fit.

TIPS: 1) You need to remove the old key and install it into the new key fob, the push mechanism is not the same as the factory mechanism and your key will not work normally if you simply swap the pieces out. The pin on the original is a 1/16 dowl pin and it is very tightly fitted, I bent my set punch on the second key but was able to use vice grips to pry the pin out. 2) The spring needs to be tensioned by turning two pieces counterclockwise, two turns will be more than enough. This project is well worth the money, just be aware that there are a few tools and skills needed to put the product to use. TOOLS: 1/16 punch, hammer, hardwood block with drill hole in it to remove the pins, vice grips, screwdriver to pry the old fob apart, good lighting.

The replacement works a well as the factory key. Wish there were instructions on how to open the factory key fob which was glued. I had to use a bench grinder to cut the glue seams off to retrieve the controller board to use in the new fob. Since I have power tools I was able to change to the new key fob. The locksmith wanted $80 just to cut the key, so I punched out the drift pin and used the same key. It is lots of work to change the key fob, but if you can do the work, it is worth buying. Update: 09.13.22 Doesnt hold shape for long. Good cheap short time replacement.

This Fob wil not work unless your car uses the laser cut key. Do not think that you can just put the board from your existing Fob in this shell. It will not work.
