> 3 dayThis USB lasted me a couple of years until it died out. It worked though it wasnt the fastest. It became slower and slower with use (as a regular flash memory), but it worked well until then. As this USB is made of plastic, its more vulnerable to drops than other counterparts with better materials.

Greater than one weekBenchmark: Write speed avg 13.7 MB/s

> 3 dayDoes what it should, has the storage listed. The protective sleeve does NOT stay extended when in my pocket leaving the USB plug exposed, that is my primary issue with it.

> 3 daySlow compared to higher prices USB Type Cs. But it gets the job done and decent value for the money

> 3 dayLess than $four.fifty for 32gb was good, but agree with many other reviews that speed is poor for 3.0. For the price it wont be returned, but if speed is important suggest to look elsewhere.

Greater than one weekEasily the worst flash drive I have ever used. When I received the order from Amazon I plugged it into my computer to backup and noticed it was taking hours to run, so I ran some tests with this flash drive to compare it to some older flash drives and this performed far worse than the old technology. Test computer: Older computer with USB 2.0 (not 3.0) Flash drives tested (all FAT formatted): 1. Kingston DT100G3 (subject of review) 2. Kingston DataTraveler DTI/8GB (roughly 5 years old) 3. SanDisk Cruzer 2GB (well over 5 years old) The Test: No other programs running. Xcopy script to copy files to the target flash drive. The same script and files were used for each flash drive. Plugged in #1 to USB 2.0 port Ran test for one minute Removed #1 and plugged in #2 in the same port Ran test for one minute Removed #2 and plugged in #3 in the same port Ran test for one minute The Results: 1. Kingston DT1000G3 (subject of review): 57 files/56MB 2. Kingston DTI/8GB: 283 files/143MB 3. SanDisk Cruzer: 525 files/158MB After being a Kingston flash drive user for years, this will be the last one I purchase.

07-06-2025Price keeps going down and this is a great value. Recorded large amount of files for mailing to family and it wrote with no problem. Not much different than what I used before but I am happy at the size and value.

> 3 dayOriginally bought this for myself as a personal flash drive, but I gave it to my father. He plugged it in and used it to transfer files, but he said that the files he was copying were transferring at USB 2.0 speeds. Later, he came back to me and said that this was happening because they were smaller files, and that when he tried storing a large file, it moved much faster than the small files. So please note that the transfer rate may vary according to the size of the files being transfered.
