Good for the money. Basically use these for music. My kids know the value of all the music I have and grown up with. I may be old, but I saw all the good bands !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    1. It is not that large storage, but given that this is just for a specific event series of photos, then I know what capacity is, the size of all files, and this is economical to use and give to the ones who asked for them.

I use the Kingston for music in my car and I have a lot of songs on it. I got more than one for various reasons e.g., photos, documents, backups. Trying to be prepared in an emergency - just grab and run. The cost was reasonable, too.

Writing mp3s to this starts off okay at around 30 mbps then slows to around under 200 kbps in under a minute and eventually around 50 kbps until it finally finishes about 30 minutes later. Not only does it read and write it slowly, it corrupts the files it writes. My car head unit would skip or not even play some songs, leading me to think my head unit was messed up and went through the trouble of replacing a few all because of this POS. Just recently, I decided to reformat and give this a try because I needed a USB stick to use as a recovery drive, and failed again which is the reason for this review. I put the recovery data on this stick and booted to USB and sure enough I get a pop up saying I cant use it because a file is corrupted. Next I reloaded the same data on a Sandisk Extreme and no problems.

My thoughts: Item looks like images posted and fits sellers description. I purchased this to do a systems backup for my new laptop. It works great. The casing is sleek and looks high end. It fit perfectly and functioned well. It is small and easy to store. I like the sliding cap design very much. It helps protect it very well. Mine worked great and I didnt find it that slow. The whole backup was done pretty fast, of course I didnt time it, but It didnt take very long. I personally am very pleased with it and found fr what I needed it fr it worked great! That is all I will be using it for too though. I needed another USB drive for keeping an OS ISO file on and 32GB is more than large enough. When I created the file, it took a VERY long time to complete. After running Crystal Disk Mark (photo attached), the reason became apparent. I wanted to return it, but Amazon was kind enough to send me another drive and not send the original back. Well, the second drive was identical to the first with virtually the same write speeds. The numbers speak for themselves. Over the past few weeks, Ive come across this problem with multiple brands of 32GB USB drives. Read speeds are decent, even good, but write speeds are so slow that the drives are not practical for any kind of use.

a little binded at the connector when arrived. once unbinded easily with a screwdriver, it worked well.

Why buy cheap no name memory to save 1 or 2 dollars? I always buy Kingston, or Sandisk and never worry about about bad or corrupted memory.
