12-06-2025That first time to you boot windows on an SSD, it feels like magic because it boots so quickly. Would recommend for all HDD users. I got the 240GB with plans of using my old 500gb to handle big files so dont consider a large ssd if you have plans for dealing with big files in one place or a small hdd to start with. Great ssd, feels like a paperweight, easy to install in my Lenovo G50. Would recommend.

Greater than one weekKingston is a well known brand name for several computer products, this drive is just my latest purchase with that name on it. Its not the largest drive on the market by any means, but Im just using it as a temp working space for video editing, so its more than large enough. Speed seems on part for what should be expected of a SATA SSD. For my intended use, and the price paid, Im happy with the drive and would readily purchase another.

Greater than one weekIve bought a Kingston SSD just so I will be able to use it for my older 2009 Mac Mini, but when I went into the Mac OS installer, it didnt recognize it at all. I then put the SSD into my Dell Inspiron 3670 with Windows 10 installed and still nothing, no notification, or no drive showing in File Explore; it wont even show in the BIOS or in Device Manager. My heart plummeted when I realized that I have a out of a box defective drive. It even said when I ordered the product that it would only have wear in the package, not a totally non working SSD. I dont know if the drive has warranty on it, but that will be great to have my $35 back or swap to have a good working state drive. I thought these drives were good honestly; Ive seen lots of people making positive feedback towards this SSD for basic gaming builds, so I thought it was a bang of a buck for how much it costs.

> 3 dayGood price and performance at a pretty unbeatable price. Kingston has been in the game of flash memory for as long as any other manufacturer out there and their reliability is as good if not better than Samsung and any other brand on the market. SSD is in the same category of memory storage as a flash drive so I trust Kingstons reliability will be the same here as well. Other big name brands (Samsung for instance) have only recently started making flash memory devices, so I would rather stick with a company that focuses mainly on flash memory, and has since it was invented. This SSD is being used in a Lenovo T60 laptop, so it will get the most abuse you can put an SSD through (being in a laptop of course) and I will update this review if something changes.
