I bought this to make a redneck dipole shortwave antenna and it works great. I took it to the top of the building and then split it, taking one wire one way and the other wire another way and joining them together with an alligator clip. Clipped it to the radio and I was listening to Taiwan from Ohio. Radio Romania and just tons of radio from around the world. An alligator clip and 100 foot of speaker wire built a better antenna than what I bought. Just because its called speaker wire doesnt mean its just speaker wire. Its heavy and makes a great antenna.

I used this to rewire a couple of speaker the were 4ohm into a 8ojm series. The wire accepted the solder easily. Since the cable is marked it is easy to keep positive and negative identified. It came wrapped in saran wrap, which was nice so I could reuse that to keep it from unrolling
