KKSB Raspberry Pi 4 Case | CNC Machined Aluminum Raspberry Pi Enclosure with Built-in Heatsink

I got case for one of my Raspberry Pi 4s, and was pleasantly surprised by how sturdy it feels. It looks very well made and solid. It fits the board like a glove. It includes a cool design to let you see the status lights through the case. it comes with a thermal pad to connect the heat sink to the solid block for heat dissipation, but Im not sure how firm of a connection there is between cpu-pad-block. Either way I have not had problems with thus far overheating, although admittedly I use this particular Pi for tasks that arent terribly CPU-intensive (and may not generate that much heat). This is the nicest pi 4 case that Ive seen so far. I think its a good overall value at just over twenty bucks.

This is a beautifully machined case that would be great if you are using your Raspberry Pi 4 in an application that only used Ethernet for network connectivity. Unfortunately the metal enclosure acts like an RF shield and greatly reduces the range and sensitivity of both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. So if you plan to use wireless it would be best to stick with a plastic case. A few other points: 1. The screws on the base that hold everything together arent countersunk so they do stick out underneath. There is a set of small rubber feet included, but in my experience these tend to eventually fall off or move. It would have been nice if the screws were countersunk. 2. The two lenses for the power and status LEDs are small and a bit fiddly to put in. They are just press-fit, so I was a bit worried they may fall out, but so far they havent. 3. There is space to run ribbon cables for the camera and display outputs. 4. There is a post right above the Raspberry Pis SOC chip that will make contact if you use the included squidgy heat pad. This provides some nice cooling by conducting the heat away to the enclosure.

After using so many 3D-printed and cheap plastic Pi cases over the years, I was very happy to get my hands on this case. Its all metal, and the thickness of that metal is substantial. Its thicker than the armor case for my trailcam! The holes and air vents are truly laser-precise. Fit is perfect. They provide four tiny screws to hold it together, feet, and 3M tape. Also there are keyholes ready to go in the bottom plate. Now I have to figure out how to pipe my chip heat out to this case. If the manufacturer were to include an engineered heatsink solution, they would have the best pi case on the market!

Large aluminum body that doubles as the heat-sink. The boards themselves are hard to come by these days, but if you get your hands on one then this is a good case for it. Sleek, wall-mountable, good protection for your Pi. I am running one 24/7 in this case.

This hard metal case is beautifully made. Whether it is aluminum or aluminium depends on your opinion, but either way, it is very nearly a perfect work of metallurgy. Swapping out from my CanaKit case to this metal one was easy, except for getting the CanaKit heat sink off the RPi-4 processor so that I could install the little foam thermal pad. That done, reassembly and re-installation back to my LAN took no time and little effort. I really like the two screw hole hangers in the bottom and expect to use them, eventually... when I finally get around to re-organizing. This is a high-quality piece of equipment and will be quickly forgotten, as are all things that do not require fixing, polishing, dusting, batteries, or any other annoyance.

This case is very well made and finished, the integral CPU heat sink appears to do the job quite well, although I have not been able to stress test the Pi and monitor the CPU temp with this passive cooling arrangement. I suspect it will be at least as good as any other offering other than copper based heat sinks. Fit and form are good, personally I would have liked to see the USB and Network ports more flush with the case, but that is purely aesthetics. I like the feature on the base that facilitates wall mounting using a couple of screws but: Be very aware that the screws could short the Pi board to the case unless you insulate that area!! (See photo). Nice case, especially for (with care) wall mounting.

I use Raspberry Pis for everything. My 3D printer, my home automation, robot projects, the other 3D printer, teaching kids programming, you name it. I needed a case for a recent Pi 4 (Model B) build and decided to try this one. Ive attached a bunch of pictures. The fit is perfect, although it took me a moment to realize I needed to take the heat sink off my processor because this case has an aluminum block and thermal adhesive so that the whole case becomes a heat sink. I feel the need to draw attention to this because it isnt really highlighted very much in the product discussion. This is a great feature and was perfectly located. In case it helps anyone Ive put arrows on two of my pictures showing removal of the stock heat sink (blue arrow) and attachment of the thermal adhesive (green arrow). Once completed the case looks great. The dark satin finish metal goes well with just about anything and the ports are all accessible and well placed in the access openings. Very, very nice. A+!!

This thing is very good looking and is very well-made. It has the built-in heat sinks as it is aluminum the entire body becomes the heat sink and it fits the raspberry pi 4B perfectly. It comes with a thermal pads that you need to make contact with the built-in he thinks. And it comes with all the hardware and it has some extra mounting holes on the bottom which is a nice little design bonus. It also comes with a little foot pads that will keep it from sliding around. It doesn’t have heat sinks for the RAM so you might want to add those. They are very easy to make or an expensive to buy. The fit and finish are excellent as would befit a nice raspberry pi project box. It has a slightly unusual but zippier color then my other dark gray boxes and I kind of like it. At $20 this gives all the features and appearance of the $45 aluminum cases so I will buy these all day long.

The fit and function of this case is excellent. It is extremely well-made and very strong, and I love the look of the finish on this case. The interesting feature of this case, is that since it is a metal case, the ability for it to also function as the heatsink for a completely passive cooling, and quiet, installation, is an important tradeoff. First, unlike another comment Ive seen, you do not want the heat sink as it exists in this case to be directly in-contact with the CPU. This would put the CPU and PCB in danger of mechanical damage if the case is squeezed or damaged. The use of a thermal pad mitigates that potential and lets the case take the abuse/damage without impacting the device inside.

This is a well built case for Raspberry Pi 4. Installation was smooth and all ports lined up well. The case feels solid and port access is simple. So long as you dont need access to the pins for projects, this is a great case.
