> 3 dayI almost used a multi tool to remove the hundreds of nail sticking through the floor protruding through the basement ceiling in preparation for painting the ceiling. This tool is amazing. Cuts through the nails like butter. Creates a super clean look. My new favorite tool.

04-06-2025Great, love these! offset hinge lets you cut longer nails or wire since the hinge doesnt get in the way. Easy cut of hardened nails and roofing nails - much easier and better than 17 Crescent brand, and better than a German brand. These are the easiest to use of all three brands, lowest required hand strength to cut the same nail.

> 3 dayKNIPEX 61 02 200 Comfort Grip High Leverage End-Cutters-Bolt Cutters I bought this tool for a specific project -- in a cramped attic to clip flush some roofing nails poking through the sheathing. I own several other end-nippers and cutting a roofing nail is quite difficult with all of them. With this Knipex, its a one handed, simple squeeze. Almost shockingly easy. These cutters do well on up to 16 penny nails, or even 20 penny with a strong squeeze. The pivot point on the cutter head is very near the cutters, which provides tremendous leverage. The handle covers on this made-in-Germany tool are superb -- thick, tough, and comfortable. On the other hand, these cutters will barely dent hardened (Grade 5 or harder) machine screws / nails, or stainless steel screws. On both metal types, try a reciprocating saw with a hacksaw blade. If you force this tool in an attempt to cut hardened screws/nails, the jaws will chip and be ruined – I did that to my first Knipix – and filed a “complaint” via the Knipix web site. They sent a free replacement tool. All I had to do was send the old tool back first; they didn’t even ask for a receipt. Six stars for customer service. I have an extensively equipped workshop and had never spent this much on a small hand tool. If you really need a terrific set of end-nippers for mild steel nails or machine screws, you probably can’t beat these.

> 3 dayThrew out 2 pairs of cheap-os that would barely cut a nail. This one cuts like butter, I’m impressed. Just used to trim all the errant nails on a 2- story shed build and it’s amazing to me how easily these cut.

> 3 dayA little pricey but didnt want a piece of junk that wouldnt hold up. Happy I spent a little more than the other ones on the market. Seems like they are solid and will last a while for minimal DIY usage.

> 3 dayThe cutters worked great for the first 400 or 500 nails that held shingle siding on. They literally cut right thru nails, then I noticed that there was a chip on the end. I am ordering another set because it may have been user error on my part. I will be more careful on the next pair. If I have failure on this pair I will re-review this product with an update. Right now my project is on hold.
