> 3 dayThe product is great. When it first came in, the 3ft ground was left out of the package. Their support was a little annoying about it. I called and told them and they told me to see a picture of the package without the ground. Stupid, but ok. So I did and they resolved the issue appropriately.

> 3 dayJUNK!! Although, most of the cables are usable they are very poor quality. The power and ground cables appear to be copper plated aluminum or something. The copper wire is very brittle, and the insulation is thin and crappy. I would never recommend this kit to anyone! I spent a good 2 extra hours after an install trying to track down a feedback problem that I was having on a 5 channel MB Quart amp. The problem ended up being the cheap RCA cable that came with the kit. I finally ended up driving to Frys and getting a set of Carwires RCA cables, which fixed the feedback issue.

> 3 dayNot like it used to be,this wire is pretty low quality.i was able to cut through it easily with a exacto knife as I was stripping away the insulation.the remote wire is junk pulled on it too get rid of slack and it broke apart .then to top it off the 80amp fuse was defective,was getting 12v on one side but not the other,had to buy a new fuse.ive been installing car audio for years and I havent seen a kit this crap.knuconcepts used to be good,but thats every company now days I guess.i wouldnt buy it again,I would have just returned it if it didnt take long to install but I had an HR into the install before I noticed most flaws.save your money,I learned the hard way so maybe you didnt have too lol.

> 3 dayThe cables feel good and are easy to work with but the wire itself falls apart pretty easy, theres no denying that. The wire also has a hard time fitting into the supplied fuse without backing out or the rubber grommet slipping out, no matter how much screwing around with it. The crimps in the kit are definitely as cheap as they come but like I said, its great entry level stuff to get your feet wet with. The product will work, if theres one iota of perfectionist in you.... Those things I previously mentioned to you will stick out like a sore thumb. Still a good kit nonetheless if youre looking to just get everything hooked up.

> 3 dayThey work great. Good length and the ends for the wires fit. I just dont like glass fuses any more. I have broke two so far. They make a similar unit that uses a big fuse similar to what is used in cars fuse blocks. Next time, I am going with that kit. Fast service, nice product.

The KCA-K4 Amplfier Installation Kit Includes:
- 18" 4 AWG Blue KCA Kable (CCA) Power Wire

How many watts can this amp kit handle? At KnuKonceptz, we do not use "watts" to rate our amp kits. This is a very inaccurate method to determine what the proper gauge wire required for your amp installation. Many amp manufactures do not represent the output of their product accurately in watts. Please refer to your amplifier"s fuse rating, this is a number a manufacture can not fake, well they could but it would put their product in harms way! Add up the fuses on the end of your amp (two 30A fuses = 60A total draw) If this number is under 80A, this kit will fit your application. If over 80A, a larger gauge wire would be required or use our Kolossus Flex 4 gauge amp installation kit.
Beware of "1600 Watt" amp kits that include a 50 or 60A fuse. Its physically impossible for these kits to support this load (refer to our comparison photo)
KCA 4 Gauge - Oversized for higher loads vs other CCA cables
Our Kolossus Copper Aluminum (KCA) series cable was designed specifically to be larger than the competition. Copper Clad Aluminum is less conductive than Oxygen Free Copper when comparing like sized conductors. CCA however is also much less expensive. So by increasing the area in our KCA cable, KnuKonceptz was able to achieve similar performance to OFC, but without the higher cost.
For this exact reason is why our cable is larger, to achieve similar performance, for less money. The graph below shows, based on area, our cable is at least 40% larger than comparable brands.

About KnuKonceptz KCA Power Wire and how it compares to other cables
- Using American Wire Gauge standards, the gauge of stranded wire is determined by the total area of the conductor.
- To calculate this you would take the area of each strand and add it together. This area, in square mm, then determines gauge.
- Diameter is not as critical with stranded wire, this is due to the tiny air gaps between each strand. Diameter may fluctuate with strand size and how tightly wound the rope of the cable is.
- The smaller the number, the larger the wire, until you reach zero or aught (0). From zero, you then have double aught (00), three aught (000) and so on.
- Based on AWG, the true gauge of this cable is #3, larger than traditional 4 gauge
- We"ve compared several popular 4 gauge amp kits from other manufactures. The above chart displays the manufacture and the calculated gauge based on area.
- All cables tested were labeled as 4 gauge. The X axis indicates gauge by area and where each cable"s measurement placed itself on the American Wire Gauge scale.
- Several brands barely reached the required area of 8 gauge.
