> 3 dayi purchased this amp /speaker kit wire before not too long ago and i m impressed of the quality of this product,it really does a great job on my 10 sub woofer kicker and it sounds really clear in main part cause of this 4 Gage Kit,and now i m buying it again for my new car that yes already has a sub w amp but i m making a little addition so i think it will work perfect to hook up the 10 flat Pioneer woofer and using with a Boss amp that will continually hold 250w rms hopefully...:)

> 3 dayIs 4 gauge cable is true 4 gauge cable but it is CCA which stands for copper clad aluminum so do not get it twisted with it being ofc. But what is still being CCA really thick wire it barely fit in my 4 gauge ring terminals so thats how I knew it was true for Gage a lot of strands which means more conductivity would definitely recommend this wire for a budget build system. On top of that this company infuses the RCAs and the remote turn on wire together as one cable rather than making two of them separate

> 3 dayIm not a professional audio installer. Im not the kind of guy who will measure wire to make sure its the gauge that the seller claims. However, this wire is thick, and I cannot imagine that it wouldnt be thick enough to deliver power from a battery to an amplifier. The wire is nice, and its also easy to bend. The rubber surrounding it is very soft, almost like some sort of harder silicone. I think this would work really well and not break or crack even when cold.

- Inline fuse holder with 80A fuse
- 5 Meter Bassik Twisted Pair OFC RCA Cable

How many watts can this amp kit handle? At KnuKonceptz, we do not use "watts" to rate our amp kits. This is a very inaccurate method to determine what the proper gauge wire required for your amp installation. Many amp manufactures do not represent the output of their product accurately in watts. Please refer to your amplifier"s fuse rating, this is a number a manufacture can not fake, well they could but it would put their product in harms way! Add up the fuses on the end of your amp (two 30A fuses = 60A total draw) If this number is under 80A, this kit will fit your application. If over 80A, a larger gauge wire would be required or use our Kolossus Flex 4 gauge amp installation kit.
Beware of "1600 Watt" amp kits that include a 50 or 60A fuse. Its physically impossible for these kits to support this load (refer to our comparison photo)
KCA 4 Gauge - Oversized for higher loads vs other CCA cables
Our Kolossus Copper Aluminum (KCA) series cable was designed specifically to be larger than the competition. Copper Clad Aluminum is less conductive than Oxygen Free Copper when comparing like sized conductors. CCA however is also much less expensive. So by increasing the area in our KCA cable, KnuKonceptz was able to achieve similar performance to OFC, but without the higher cost.
For this exact reason is why our cable is larger, to achieve similar performance, for less money. The graph below shows, based on area, our cable is at least 40% larger than comparable brands.

About KnuKonceptz KCA Power Wire and how it compares to other cables
- Using American Wire Gauge standards, the gauge of stranded wire is determined by the total area of the conductor.
- To calculate this you would take the area of each strand and add it together. This area, in square mm, then determines gauge.
- Diameter is not as critical with stranded wire, this is due to the tiny air gaps between each strand. Diameter may fluctuate with strand size and how tightly wound the rope of the cable is.
- The smaller the number, the larger the wire, until you reach zero or aught (0). From zero, you then have double aught (00), three aught (000) and so on.
- Based on AWG, the true gauge of this cable is #3, larger than traditional 4 gauge
- We"ve compared several popular 4 gauge amp kits from other manufactures. The above chart displays the manufacture and the calculated gauge based on area.
- All cables tested were labeled as 4 gauge. The X axis indicates gauge by area and where each cable"s measurement placed itself on the American Wire Gauge scale.
- Several brands barely reached the required area of 8 gauge.
