Very easy to use - managed to load all my epubs onto it within minutes. It is a good, simple ereader.

El equipo es excelente. Lastima la rivalidad de empresas y larcas por el tema de los libros. Digamos , no poder comprar desde cualquier tienda. Lo demas funciona todo óptimo. Lo recibí en argentina llegó todo bien

This is the third eReader Ive ordered actually. The first was a Kobo Touch, which sadly suffered from a broken screen due to bad handling on my account. The second was a Kobo Aura h2o as a replacement, and this one is my third Kobo eReader to be used by my wife. Excellent products. Great quality screen, good build quality. Recommended.

I just unboxed my kobo aura and upon opening it, the left part of the page is frozen with a picture of the kobo with a plug. I tried to set it up via computer and still that page was frozen. After 2 minutes of setting it up, the lower half part of the page turned into black and was frozen. I tried turning it off and on and it is still the same. I am a fan of Kobo and I was excited to purchase Aura to replace my Kobo Glo. I am so disappointed with the product and this experience.

They will not ship it in a orderly time because they want you to purchase a Kindle so they can further lock you into staying on their platform, Ive noticed this for years. The Kobo readers always show ship in 3-4 weeks or theyre unavailable. Either order it from Rakuten or Walmart. Kobo doesnt restrict you to just using PDFs and MOBI files, you can actually use the following Books: EPUB, EPUB3, PDF, and MOBI, and PDF. It supports CBZ and CBR if you read comics. They also allow for expansion storage, which no Kindle does.

I found this very difficult as there was no users manual included. On line, yes PDF. Keyboard super sensitive, and no obvious way to delete unwanted characters. Getting the Reader connected brought me to the Kobu site and I could not find a way to get to my Bellingham Library site. I do not want to purchase, just download eBooks from our local library. A very frustrating afternoon of not any success.

I bought this two years ago, when Covid hit and all the libraries closed down but we could still borrow books electronically, I like having something lightweight to carry on the bus or when traveling. Its also useful to borrow books electronically when Im out of things to read. But recently it started to act erratically (the print on the screen would dissolve, or it would suddenly jump to a completely different part of the book with no apparent reason). Then, when I tried to recharge the battery, nothing happened. I plugged it into the charger for more than a day and it wouldnt charge! I found out that yes, the battery can be replaced but it needs more sophisticated electronics skills than I possess. Im glad that I was able to use it for the time I had it, but I think it should have lasted more than two years! Or at least they should make the battery replaceable., or provide a replacement service. I would not buy one of these again. I dont know if the competition is any better in this respect, however.

This is a great ereader for anyone wanting to avoid the Kindle ecosystem. Waterproof, e-ink display, battery lasts forever. Plenty of storage; I dont really get people who worry about 800+ books not being enough on their ereader. I manage my library with Calibre, and this syncs great (note: only on Windows, I couldnt get it to load up on my Mac). Overdrive is super convenient on WiFi - Ill typically pick out books on my phone for the better interface, then log in on the Kobo for a quick sync. My main complaint is how slow an unresponsive it can be, especially if youve got a 1,000+ page book loaded. It can take half a second or longer to register a page turn. I also dont like the long boot up with a huge Wal Mart logo, but thats a tiny quality-of-life thing that doesnt matter much.

The main reason to buy the Kobo Aura is its versatility, since it functions w/both .epub and .mobi file formats (for some reason Amazon still refuses to incorporate .epub support for Kindle). Unfortunately, it is definitely slower than Kindle paperwhite, and the screen isnt as responsive (swiping down ends up as a click in 1/2 of the time). In addition, shopping for books is harder as the Kobo store pretty much sucks. If youre okay with these 2 shortcomings, this is the basic e-reader to get if you already have dozens of .epubs you cant read on your Kindle. (I say this having owned a Nook glowlight which was cheaply made and had a terrible UI).
