> 3 dayHave used both new Portra 160 and 400, along with Fuji Pro 400H. All three are excellent films. It is a personal choice. For my pro work Portra 400 is my go to film. Check this site you will see how good this film is:

Greater than one weekKodak hit a home run with the Portra line. They adapted their movie film stock (VISION 50D, etc.) and used a similar chemistry for this enthusiast / pro film. It is by far the best colour film I have ever used. Colours are superb without being saturated. Grain is virtually absent. FWIW, Ive tried Portra 160, Portra 400, and Portra 800. ISO 160 is good for a bright summer day (and super-fine grain), but the colours are less punchy. Portra 800 is good for low-light situations but the grain is noticeable. The 400 ISO product is a good compromise.

> 3 dayGreat film, I cant go back to anything else. Shot this on a couple vacations, the colors are great and the exposure latitude is amazing. No flash and yet every shot came out great. I even set the camera to 800 and shot a roll in a cave, sometimes underexposing another step out two, developed normally, and every shot came out!

> 3 dayPortra is an extremely versatile and easy to use filmstock. At 400H its pretty tough to mess up the exposure. I recommend anybody to pick this up and start snapping, its really fun.
